I've loved the Marvel shows thus far, but this is the one I've been most excited for.

Mine either, looks like they’re trying for a weird Bakshi Lord of the Rings rotoscoping look to it.Not my favorite animation style, but it looks very interesting. Will these what ifs be part on the MCU multiverse? I'm intrigued by the Watcher appearance.
Honestly that What If trailer looks pretty dang good.
Very reminiscent to the style used in the movie "A Scanner Darkly" but I think that movie was actually filmed with actors and then animated over the topNot my favorite animation style, but it looks very interesting. (Non-Spoiler Thoughts) Saw Black Widow last night and I'll admit I walked away quite happy. I found it to be pretty darn good, and that is coming from someone who was really looking forward to this movie, so my expectations were pretty high. It's tone is obviously most comparable to Captain America: The Winter Soldier with its spy-thriller aesthetic, and definitely has both some Bond and Bourne parallels. This was what I wanted with this movie and I thought it mostly delivered in what one comes to expect with those kinds of movies. Sure, its big bad had some Bond villain weaknesses, and I found Taskmaster to be one of the weaker parts of the film, but I thought the overall plot mostly delivered.
Its plot though isn't necessarily what really makes this film good anyway, but rather its characters and their interplay with one another. The film really leans into its characters in a make or break way, and I'll gladly say they made it. Props to them, and that goes for pretty much everyone, whether that be The Red Guardian, Yelena, or Molina. There is some good twists in there too.
Overall, is this a top-tier MCU movie? Probably not, but it gave me pretty much exactly what I wanted from it and I'd call it a solid middle-tier installment. I like how it brings the scales down after Endgame and stays pretty self-contained for the most part, all while giving you enough fun world-building to keep you happy. For the second female-led installment in the MCU, I found it MUCH more satisfying than Captain Marvel. I thought the plot worked a bit better than that movie and more-so, I found the character work and acting of Black Widow to be far superior.
What If? Animation style seems great for an animated streaming series compared to that competition but I think the animated feature film world is still caught slightly flat footed by how fresh and unique Spiderverse was. I am working with one property that seems to be dipping its toes in something similar.
I feel the same way about Fury Road, missed opportunity that a big brand like Marvel, DC or F&F seem scared to even try to match the stunt quality. If you gave me a daredevil or wolverine movie within the MCU where the stunts were even half as good as fury road it would be epic. Black Widow or Shang-Chi could have been that and I can tell just from trailers they didn't try that route.
Another note with Black Widow is that the final action sequence does go pretty big, bombastic, and CGI heavy, which may turn some people off. I'm usually the first person to criticize this type of stuff (example: I HATED the final battle CGI action of Black Panther), but I'll admit it kind of worked for me in the moment and didn't take me out of the movie this time around. However, talking with my buddy afterwards who went with me, he really didn't like the whole sequence and thought it was bad CGI. So, take that for what you will. I'll be interested to see if it bothers me more the second time around watching the movie.
Another fun side-note: I absolutely LOVED all the costuming in this movie. Props to that department. Not only is someone like the Red Guardian's costume fun, but ALL the Black Widow costumes in the movie are easily all her best ones.
