I’m really enjoying it. It has what I’ve missed from Wandavision, so I appreciate that it feels like it picks up on that same mystery element.

Not sure if it’s just because Owen Wilson is in it, but I totally get a Wes Anderson sort of vibe from the title card’s theme music.

Has anyone else been underwhelmed by Loki so far? I feel like it’s running off of the charm of Hiddleston and Wilson and nothing else. I found episode 2 to be flat out boring and the reveal of Lady Loki wasn’t all that inspired. I’ll give it a couple more episodes to turn it around but this is feeling like the first MCU Disney plus dud.

Nope, I think Loki has been fantastic.

The episodes have been mostly exposition, but I could have the whole series be Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston banter and be happy. I'm reminded of the party scene in Age of Ultron. If it pays off like I think it might the banter will become very important and the series very watchable.

Definitely a different feel from the other Disney Plus series and the only thing similar in the MCU might be Dr Strange. I could see why some world find it not to their liking.

Yeah I think Loki is the best by far of the Disney plus MCU entries.

I thought it was good. Revealed some good plot points about the TVA staff. Plus explored another world which I love.

I know I may be in the minority on this, and man I'm really trying to like Loki, but I've found each new episode of Loki worse than the last. Here is a few of my non-spoiler takeaways:

-I found this episode extremely boring, filled with a bunch of exposition to reveal just a couple things. Felt like they could have done these things way quicker and way more effective. Inevitably, this made it feel like your typical filler episode on a TV series, which is fine with 22 episode network TV shows, but with only a 6 episode streaming show?? Seems like such a waste.

-The action/fights in this series not only are pretty terrible and seemingly low-budgety (this isn't CW), but they are detrimental to the Loki character. This is the same Loki who just took on the entire Avengers team and almost won, but now he/her are struggling with fighting about anyone, including a Louisiana hillbilly and whatever stupid security guard they run across. I'd much rather they spare the CW fight scenes and rather have Loki win in some clever way where he avoids fighting like he does in the movies. It would be much more effective.

I'm trying really hard guys to like this series, but due to many of the above things, out of all the new Marvel streaming series, this is the one that feels most like your typical low-budget TV. Things could change moving forward and maybe all of this setup will pay off, but I'm not optimistic at this point with only 3 episodes left. I mean, we are halfway through this series and why do I still feel like nothing has happened except a bunch of exposition??? Don't get me wrong, I love me a bunch of Hiddleston and Wilson back and forth, as that was a lot of the best stuff of the series, but that can only carry the series so far. I've also found Sylvie or whoever she is to be underwhelming and her interplay with Loki boring at best. At this point, I almost don't care who she really is.

I think what you're talking about Trigger was always part of the huge risk of these Disney+ shows. We are used to a very high level of quality with MCU properties. You literally just can't do it the same with TV shows.

I was really into the first two episodes and this 3rd one was just ok to me. Hopefully it all pays off but it feels like what happened last night is just some random side quest to make Loki and Sylvie like each other so they can team up against the TVA.

What drives me crazy is that it seems like they are trying to go for the CW aesthetic with this.

The whole third episode felt like Dr. Who as well.. which is a negative in my book.

Judging by the responses and the likes so far, I'm glad to at least see I'm not the only one not really digging Loki thus far. I've felt like from what I've mostly read and seen on the internet that I would be on a lonely hill all by myself. You guys know me, I like to be honest with my opinions, but I'm also one of the biggest MCU fans out there. Therefore, I'm more predisposed to like things than not like things in general I'd say. I also am not afraid to change my mind on stuff judging by the MCU series so far:

Wandavision: Was NOT excited for but loved the series the most of all of them
Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Was REALLY looking forward to, and while I still enjoyed the series, it didn't quite meet my expectations
Loki: Wasn't really looking forward to, but willing to give a chance. Have not enjoyed so far and has come in lower than expectations.

These are my exact feelings as well

I am a parent of a Marvel kid that enjoys watching the stuff so I am trying to catch up on a lot of the stuff and watch the new stuff with him. I knew very little going into WandaVision and LOVED IT! Really really enjoyed it! Falcon and Winter Soldier was fun but it played to me like a dramatic series that would be shown on network TV. Enjoyed watching it...with my son! Not sure I would have looked forward to it like I did if I weren't watching with my kid! And Loki...so far my son is in to it but I still don't get the WandaVision vibes...at least not yet.

I wonder if the fact that it was spring/summer for Falcon/Loki and we are much busier right now than in the winter. Or if WandaVision was just that much better to me? I enjoy Loki...but not like I was hoping to!

Another point I had to remind myself in my lesser than great opinion of episode 3....and that’s it’s likely Loki will have a season two. I’m so used to Wanda and Fatws, having stories wrapped in 1 season. Each episode seemed to push more and more, I likely will need to adapt some with Loki.
