patience young whipper snapper!

in all reality I agree with you. The first two episodes gave me a wtf moment, third was ok. Hoping for something better with this one. I think I was spoiled in that I didn’t watch hardly any of the marvel movies prior to Covid and then just busted all of them out in a few week when the pandemic hit. I Got a little spoiled from that.

You're not my supervisor! Never were!

This episode picked it up. Finally something decent is happening. It would have been better to be able to binge the first four episodes. The first two were just beyond bland and the third barely started to peak interest. The fourth was solid. The lady astrophysicist was pretty good, although I'm not sure what astrophysicists and tv waves have in common...

Came back to pleasant surprise that several on here actually are in the same boat as me with loving Infinity War over Endgame. Very different from many I talk to, so that's nice to see personally. Not going to get lost down that rabbit hole because we are mostly talking WandaVision and future MCU stuff in here, but as others have now said, Thanos makes Infinity War for me period. But also, the sense of impending doom for the good guys where they are almost helpless as the movie goes on is such a great tension-builder.

And I view the ending of Infinity War differently than many. Yeah we all know/knew they were going to come back from the snap in the second movie (Endgame). But I try to put myself in the character's perspective and take just what is given at the time. That eerie moment after the snap when things just go silent and all hope is completely lost for our Avengers as people start turning into dust, is one of my favorite moments in cinema. Imagining being Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, etc. and watching this happen, knowing you failed, is just haunting. That ending as itself in real-time (putting away what we know as the audience in the future) is near-perfection.

I still left the theater that night for Infinity War with just about everyone else being shocked, silent and borderline uneasy, even though we all knew this wasn't a permanent ending.

The whole shows been great IMO. Lots of little clues and nuggets to think about and excellent acting and production overall. Fun to see them tie it all together in the 4th episode. We'll see where it goes from here. My wife is not a big fan of the Marvel stuff but she has been locked in to this one from the beginning. I was able to drag her to the theater for Infinity War and Endgame so she is at least somewhat familiar with Vision and Scarlet Witch and their background.

Totally agree. I have need very impressed with how Disney has been able to hook me in from start to finish with this show (and Mandalorian as well). I’m pumped to get all the other shows to come.

Yes! Agree, I think this is what gives Infinity War such tragic weight, that Thanos pretty much goes throughout the entire film unopposed. And to an extent, I love the beginning of Endgame for this reason too, because tonally it’s very similar to Infinity War. Thanos’ success is still fresh on everyone’s mind, but instead of spending the whole film chasing after Thanos and enacting their revenge, they kill present-day Thanos off super early.

For people who don't think Infinity War is a complete movie, look at it this way. Thanos is the main character, not the Avengers, and he comes out triumphant in the end. Even Feige said this is Thanos' story.

FYI..... the Agent Woo sneaky Ant-Man/Scott Lange callback/easter egg in this episode was one of the best in all the MCU. If you didn't catch it, looks closer or google it. Literally, if you blink you will miss it.

I can make some room if you want to move to the promised land?

Agree with you on all accounts on last nights episode.

There were tons of tie-ins, I didn’t catch it until my daughter pointed it out last night but there were tie ins with Thor and captain marvel too.

Last weekend TNT ran Ragnorak, Infinity War, and Endgame back to back to back.

Good stuff and Ragnorak is under appreciated for it's place in telling that story.
Yep great ones to watch back to back to back!

I think most people agree/know/understand that Infinity War is the better “film” between Endgame. JB’s performance is epic. It’s all epic. Truly a great movie.

Endgame didn’t need to be ”better”movie - it needed to be the absolute fanboy smash that it was. To that end - It’s absolutely INCREDIBLE with no real flaws outside of stupid ones made up by whiny/dorky fans. I still laugh at people upset with time travel rules! It’s unbelievable what they were able to pull off with Endgame - simultaneously wrap up a 20+ movie saga and transition the entire franchise into its next 10+ year phase journey. And the moments! The freaking moments! Yes we knew all the heroes would come back and save the day with relatively few ‘real’ deaths - and Marvel still delivered an epically entertaining fanboy experience unlike anything anyone could have possibly to imagined, that’s actually a pretty damn good movie too. The Cap moments in the final battle will live with me the rest of my adult life. I could watch that scene every day and get chills like I’m a 10 year old kid again. Unreal awesome how they pulled that off. For those that haven’t seen it, go to YouTube and find the audience reaction video of Cap’s scene - true testament to Marvel. A theater full of fanboys getting something on screen that they couldn’t in their wildest dreams imagined would be possible as a kid. Or as an adult for that matter.

Rewatched the first 4 episodes this morning and there is a ton going on with this show. Just gotta pay close attention

Since there is nothing else to do, wife and I decided to rewatch the movies with Wanda and Vision again. It’s really pretty amazing how much trauma Wanda has gone through as basically a child that we had forgot.

1.) Parents killed while eating dinner
2.) Waited for 2 days to be saved after her parents were killed with a dud Stark bomb trapping her and her brother
3.) Went through human experimentation to gain her powers
4.) Her brother was killed and their home city destroyed
5.) Accidentally killed innocent people when fighting Rumlow
6.) Put under house arrest while she blames herself for the need of the Sokovia Accords
7.) Arrested and jailed on a floating supermax prison.
8.) Finally finds love in Vision only to be forced to kill him and then watch him be revived
9.) Watches as Vision is murdered in front of her and then is snapped

It’s no wonder she might have gone insane and took over a town to live her dream life.

Correct, and consistent all the way through, even to the end credits (and this bit is one of my favorite things about that movie):
