Perhaps the biggest announcement of all is that Marvel will not recast the role of T’Challa

This is actually really disappointing news to me. Personally, I loved the character of T'Challa so much that I really wanted a recast of T'Challa. I just feel that character of T'Challa has so many more stories to tell that I wanted to hear.

Just hook it to my veins.
I'm ready to roll again (from home).

What If could be so good. I read the comic off and on as a kid.

It's the perfect time to do it too with the gigantic universe and a way to play with it...and Thanos/Guardians /Cap Marvel having introduced the cosmic stuff and Eternals will even more. It could be Tony Stark coming back in the only way that isn't cringe inducing. (talking about movie audiences, nothing would be more comic book-like than Tony Stark coming back from the dead)

The original What If had tons of good stories. A couple eggs, but a lot of good.
The 90s version, I would pass. The Disney+ stuff looks to be great.

This was my favorite since the cosmic/infinity stuff was what I liked most:

Apparently Jamie Alexander is finally returning as Lady Sif for Thor: Love and Thunder and potentially Loki too. Fun fact: Lady Sif appeared on an episode of Agents of Shield at one time I think in S2.

It was a weird episode. I don't think a lot happened, but the episode happened.

I think I see an interesting development for the MCU: either an all-female Avengers movie or Young Avengers movie/series.

There was an announcement yesterday that America Chavez (Miss America) has been cast in Doctor Strange 2. This coupled with the announcement of an Ironheart series and a new actress playing Cassie Lang in Ant-Man 3 caught my attention.

Kate Bishop (Hawkeye), America Chavez (Miss America), & Cassie Lang (Stature) are all part of the Young Avengers. Add in She-Hulk, Ms Marvel, Riri Williams as Ironheart (aka Iron-Man), and Yelena Balova as the new Black Widow and there’s enough characters for a large scale team-up event. That’s not even including Captain Marvel or Jane Foster as Thor. This would likely be the next phase of the MCU, but it appears the foundation is being set for the next Avengers.

Great part about FF is nobody will need to forget the previous movies.

X-Men is going to need to be handled well because the MCU success was built on the near flawless execution of those first two movies, in my opinion this "genre" starts with that first X-Men film and the hero stuff before it were just entertaining curiosities. Even the Nolan Batman series owes some of its vision to how X-Men was brought to the screen in a non-cheesy way. Somebody else being Wolverine and an older Professor X is going to be every bit as daunting as the next time someone tries to play Tony Stark.

A new Wolverine is going to be ROUGH. Its not like Batman where we're going on our 7th TV/Movie Batman.

It's going to be difficult. I love the X Men comics, but redoing the movies every few years is going to be difficult to handle.

People would freak out. I am just fine with them not re-casting because it would be an almost impossible role to fill with his tragic passing.

Fully expect a Hugh Jackman to show up in the MCU through the Multiverse. Essentially every Marvel movie ever made will be “canon” through the Multiverse

I guess. Honestly, I'll be ok with whatever they decide as long as they make good movies. They had some moments with Fox, but the overall execution was not perfect. I want a full XMen universe with the evolution of characters and the team with new characters joining the cast, crossovers with other X Universe teams, and hopefully a fit into the Marvel Universe that makes sense and feels good.

The 90s cartoon Wolverine voice was awesome and they used the guy on all the Capcom games. The two seasons of fiction podcasts they just did have an awesome voice...but a look and acting presence to replace Jackman is going to seem weird for a while.
