Finished up Daredevil season 2 last night. Fantastic. Really took a good approach to the whole season. Started out good episode one and only had two "wut?" moments throughout the season. There is essentially one character in this whole series that I am not a fan of and he continued to leave me wanting more this season as well.

I'll wait to see if anyone else brings it up before I continue on a rant.

I will say that the season's end wasn't up to par with what I hoped, but I also don't know what I was expecting. It was really good as a whole and I feel like they'll have to make a third season. Unless they just wait until the crossover series.

This movie is going to crush it.

No Thor, No Hulk make it more easy to believe these teams can fight it out.

With how season 2 ended I'm really hoping they do a spinoff. Otherwise season 3 is gonna get really convoluted with all the storylines that are out there.

Sounds like there is going to be some pitches for a Captain Britain Netflix series possibly. Thoughts? For me, I was secretly hoping a Captain Britain movie was going to get shimmied into Phase 4 as I'd probably prefer it in movie form. However, I want to see him enough in the MCU soon that I'll take him however I can get him.

It could be all right. I could kind of take it or leave it, but I don't intend to watch everything that people make. Maybe I'm the wrong one to answer (of course, after I answer).

I dislike the SHIELD move this week to really push towards that spinoff. The edge of this bubble is approaching much more quickly than I'd like to see. At this rate, I don't plan on Phase 4 happening. I think they'll burn out the audience pretty badly.

After the big disappointment for me that was Batman vs Superman, I really hope Civil War comes through like I think it will on the Marvel side of things. I really need a pick-me-up.

Daredevil Season 2 is officially out today. I know it is early, but has anyone happen to catch an episode or two yet? If so, thoughts?

Binge-watched DD Season 2 over the weekend (newborn child, spending a lot of hours up in the middle of the night...). I thought it was fantastic. Stronger than DD Season 1 and much better than JJ (which I also liked). I was worried about having both Elektra and Punisher introduced, but both were handled very well (especially Punisher). The last couple episodes left a little to be desired in terms of closure but you can tell they were really trying to set up the S3 storyline.

John Bernthal is now THE definitive Punisher. He absolutely nailed the character and I hope he gets his own show (or at least continues in DD S3).

I am also getting a little worried about AoS Season 3 and the whole Marvel's Most Wanted spin-off. Just seems so unnecessary to me. Remove two of the best characters from AoS and give them their own show risks just creating two mediocre shows instead of one really good one.

Thanks for your input on all this stuff. Yeah, life happens which has made me still not get to DD season 2. Batman vs Superman played a part too. Plan on starting in the next few days. Sad to hear about AOS, as I still haven't started that season. However, it definitely isn't a spoiler as everyone knew the spinoff was coming. Was hoping they would do a good job managing it though. AOS has had its struggles in gaining popularity in the past beings how it operates mostly without any "A" or even "B" list comic characters. In fact, having Mockingjay in the show is definitely by far the most popular comic book character they have (she has been an Avenger in the comics) and she will soon be leaving.

Yeah, jury is still out on AoS, but like you said, having Mockingbird and Quake both on the show was one of the only things giving it anywhere close to the gravitas of the MCU movies. Now you split them up and have two mediocre products.

I marathoned DD over the weekend as well, and definitely agree. Bernthal was great in that role. A fairly similar role to Shane if you think about it. Both seem to view everyone else as taking half measures and not doing what's truly required (a more violent approach) to solve the problems.

I've officially been working through Daredevil finally and am 6 episodes in. Love both the Punisher and Electra so far, and as for everything else, so far so good. Its been interesting to hear some of the Foggy backlash so far as it has become very apparent that many fans don't like the actor in that role. I don't even know his name outside of Fulton Reed from Mighty Ducks. I say interesting in the fact that I have tended to agree with the disapproval. However, I will say that there have been other times where I haven't thought he was too bad, and maybe even borderline has had some good moments. Again, I'm only about half way through so he could easily get worse or better from here on out too. Would be interested to hear other Foggy opinions.

There have been quite a few criticisms for this season. That it was basically a Punisher launch and wasnt about Daredevil. I can understand that, but its building on the world of Hells Kitchen. I understand why they did what they did this season. Tying multiple things together. But ninjas.....so many ninjas.

I was not a fan of Foggy for most of Season 1. I think it had to do more with the writing than the actor. His character was way too "sitcomy" for the narrative that they were setting up. Foggy was like JD from Scrubs (Zach Braffs character) - he was perfectly competent to do things on his own, but yet had to constantly rely on help from others (most notably Matt). I actually think this is why I started to like him more in Season 2, where he was forced to take charge of his own life and distance himself from Matt. I thought Foggy was MUCH better in season 2, and I'm actually really interested to see where his story arch goes from here.
