What I like about the Disney+ series is I see it as them resetting the chess board for the new phases.

It’s no different really then how they set the pieces during phase 1 with Iron Man, Thor, etc.

In WandaVison we got Wanda to the true Scarlett Witch level (badass classic look and all) at the end.

For Falcon and Winter Soldier (which I was not the biggest fan of) we got Sam to the next stage of becoming the new Captain America.

Loki set the table for the next villain and multiverse storylines.

Let’s see where Hawkeye finishes with setting pieces, but Episode 5 certainly laid down some groundwork for a few things.

So now they don’t have to waste time in movies to get these pieces set since the series did a lot of work already for these characters. Let’s hope it allows for some even better storytelling in future movies since we can skip over some of the backstory.

1. Wandavision
2. Last episode of Loki

3. Hawkeye
4. Falcon and the Winter Soldier
5. All the other episodes of Loki
Pretty similar to mine. I loved WandaVision and Hawkeye has been number 2 for me.

I do agree the last episode of Loki was awesome, so I see why you separated it.

Falcon and Winter Soldier is last in the ranks for me. Didn’t hate it, but felt kind of boring the entire time. However, Zemo definitely was a shining spot.

Just got back a little while ago from seeing "Spiderman; No Way Home". Without revealing any spoilers, I'll just write that IMO not only is it the best Spiderman movie of all of them (including the Maguire/Garfield movies), but I think it's one of the best Marvel/Associated with Marvel movies in the whole pantheon. I put it right up there with the last two Avengers movies. Simply spectacular filmmaking.

Ok. Please read and respond to the spoiler

is the king pin dude? Was he only in the multiverse animated Spider-Man movie from several years ago? He has to be in no way home right?!?!?

Did you not watch any of the Marvel Netflix shows? Specifically Daredevil? Vincent D'Nofrio played him in that show.

FATWS clearly suffered from whatever rewrites they did to it (iirc pandemic related)

Honestly can’t make a grade on it yet.

I absolutely loved the frenetic and seamless beginning.

No Way Home is a good movie, and has lots of fan service in it. Wasn’t blown away, still prefer Far From Home.
Woke up thinking about it, and I think I am going to need a second viewing before I decide where this one truly fits in my pecking order. I mean, it was a really good movie.

Spiderman thoughts:

It's a super fun movie and probably near the top of my Marvel rankings. I am glad they finally put Holland's Spiderman through some actual personal trauma that wasn't losing Tony Stark (which affected all heroes - not just Spiderman). The loss of a relative is kinda what makes Spiderman, Spiderman... So it was good to finally see that with Holland's version of the character.

That said, in the midst of watching, I realized that I was actively rooting for less screen time for Tom Holland and more for Maguire and Garfield. Maybe it was just my nostalgia taking over, but I've always thought Maguire did the best job translating the emotions he was going through to the screen, and Garfield's time actually in the suit during his movies (even though they weren't great movies) felt the most like Spiderman SHOULD be with the smartass wisecracking and fluid movements. Holland's Spidey doesn't do either of those things as well IMO.

Still, I liked the ending of this one and am excited to see where everything goes from here.

Do you need to see the eternals before you see it?

Okay with Hawkeye finishing up and Spiderman No Way Home released can you guys mark your spoilers for which one it is. I'm caught up on Hawkeye, not sure when I'll get around to seeing Spiderman No Way Home

I haven't seen the Eternals. (Which is wild-- it's the only MCU movie I actively decided not to see.)

Don't get me wrong, No Way Home is a great movie, and makes me very excited for the next trilogy with Tom Holland, should they get made. I just really really really liked everything about Far From Home, and I didn't want to dislodge it easily from its current place at the top of the roost in my Tom Holland Spiderman movies. As I've replayed more and more of the movie in my mind, I'm beginning to question that. The movie is really very good.

Edited: to remove a spoiler that I didn't even realize was there. I plugged my eyes and ears whenever a trailer for this movie was nearby, so I honestly don't know what is spoilery and what is not.
