I really don't know why any coach or athlete would ever use social media. All it takes is 1 bad post that can have such a negative effect. Doesn't matter if you delete it a minute later, once it is out there someone has seen it. Just do your thing and let your actions do the talking and not your fingers that typed a message you may later regret.

I think it has been fairly well documented that Mark quit.

Well, ok, but he quit because he was told he was demoted. In reality, he was fired.

Two things about him:

1. He was and is an *******. He thought he was better than the program from the time he got here and frequently made that apparent.

2. He wasn't better than the program. He was not a good OC. He was trying to run basically the same system he did 8 years ago and defenses know how to stop that. He was an inventor, not an innovator to put it in basic terms. The game passed him by because he wasn't good enough to leverage what his system did into success with other looks/actions.

Tommy is not Mark. If I were Tommy, actually, I'd be doing my best to stay at ISU and prove that because, IMO, Mark will be blackballed from coaching at the D-1 level due to his history at KU and ISU. He's unhireable at this point. Rhoads having him come back this year was a mistake and honestly it was probably not a mistake not to fire him mid season lat year.

I'm making no excuses for Rhoads because he made the call. I'm just calling it like i hear/see it.

This is quite hilarious. So what the guy blasted his former team and coaching staff. I would to had I been treated the way he was by a coach (Paul) who doesn't know his as s from his elbows.

Clearly he's still unhappy over what transpired and was made the scapegoat when it should've been Paul's as s to go in the first place.

That being said, I won't be a pus s like ribsandwhiskey.....

I had the "priveledge" of coaching with some guys who know Mark very well. They also know Paul very well. You Mangino haters will get a kick out of this one...

While at KU part of Marks contract stated that he would get his own shower and restroom to use fully stocked with towels. He would poop, not wipe...get in the shower and use towels to wipe his *** because he was so fat. His **** towels would then be put into the dirty towel pile and washed and reused. 100% true and hilarious at that.

Mangino may have had ill intent, but the basic point is true. If there ever was an example of the game not being over until it is over, this was it!

As I've said before I have a couple good friends that work for the AD, one specifically with football (not a coach). They've all said Mangino was one of the worst people they have ever been around. He supposedly treated everyone like **** including players, staff, operations crews, trainers, etc. According to the one closest to the football team it became apparent 3 games into last season that hiring him was a mistake and he never should have been brought back this year. Apparently he is a toxic person and the entire AD and the vast majority of players were happy to see him go.

Nothing really detailed or insider info just feedback from people that had to work with him.

I don't have any trouble believing all the negative stuff about Mangino. Let's face it, a guy with his resume doesn't end up at ISU if there aren't some serious warts. I think it will be interesting to see if some of the members of the media will consider this as the gloves coming off, and open up with what they know about Mangino. There is no way this stuff isn't fairly well known by those even remotely connected to the team, as we are seeing from stories here.

yep this is fairly well known by people around Lawrence. I know the Fand B and Lawrrence CC who said he would use this "flossing" maneuver and then hand the towels to the staff at the CC.

Conduct wise, I doubt there's anything he did at ISU that is inconsistent with his conduct at KU. We hired him despite knowing about his past.

The thing is, most knew he was a fat ****. There was a reason he was on college footballs version of Alcatraz. ISU bringing him in was a desperate move and a stupid one.

It was widely known he was a huge jacka*# and a bad person when ISU hired him. But all any of you could say was Man-genius! and Home Run Hire!

If Mangino was still our OC we get blown out by OK State and KSU.

These past weeks have been gut wrenching but it beats getting blown out. CPR has done a poor job, but we've seen a drastic improvement on offense by subracting Mangino from ISU football...too much to not directly attribute a lot of it to him.
