Mac after the game - must watch

Great win for Coach Mac tonight - it's gotta feel good to get the Drake and road Monkeys off his back. He's earned a good road win and I hope he's got a lot more coming his way.

We looked like a very well coached team tonight btw... ball movement was some of the best I think we have seen at ISU in a while.

^^^This!^^^

By far the best ball movement I've seen on the Perimeter since Tinsley, Horton, and Nurse were sitting out there in 99-00.

Wonderful job by our team. Talking it to the rack and pressuring the zone defense. Good to see what our shooters can do when they are wide open as well! That performance from the 3 pt. arc is going to scare a lot of teams from playing zone against us.

I can't wait to see how we perform against a good man-to-man defense!

By the way...did you guys see Colvin's rocket pass to I think JVB or Hamilton at the end of the game? It was a touch chest pass from at least 20 feet away..I don't even know if JVB or Hamilton were looking for the ball but it hit them and they caught it and got a layup on it with about 1:30 left. One of the best passes I've seen in years!!!

That's pretty cool.

I love how this team put up a huge # of points when the running game wasn't there.

Same sets and such (it seems like), with much more highly skilled and experienced players. That was a nice, steady beatdown to get the Drake monkey off our backs.

I'm glad we get that Drake team in Hilton next year. I like the look of them.

Boy I think you can see a bit of a weight of Mac's shoulders. I think the last couple years has been very hard on him, and this year he knows he has the horses to get it done.

Christopherson blew that game open in the first half for us with his feeds to the post. THAT GUY UNDERSTANDS BASKETBALL!!! Along with Colvin, he's probably in our top two on-ball defenders.

so, do you think we'll be good enough to beat the lakers by the end of the year??

Scott sure doesn't play like a guy that just sat out a year. I know he practiced and all that but I thought it would take a few games for him to get back in the flow of live action. No rust at all.

I think it was Dorr.

Colvin is a great player from the 5 games we watched him play so far. I think he will get better and better once he makes better decisions and cut his turnover ratios.

I am glad to have Colvin!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure it was Buckley to Dorr. Dorr wasn't even looking but had no choice but to catch it. It was a sweet pass!!!

He plays such a good floor game. He can shoot it, float it, finish it, feed it, rebound it, gets into passing lanes and keeps people in front of him defensively. There is not a glaring weakness to his game. He's turning into my favorite player and I'm starting to get a little man crush on him.
