I don't listen to the radio much so it's kinda hard for me to find new music. So, anyone have suggestions? I like a lot of different kinds of music.

Don't like:
New Country (i.e. - pop music with a cowboy hat)
Pop
Hip-hop
Hard-core rap
Jazz - i've tried to like it but i just can't

New(er) music I'm Currently listening to:
Seether
Breaking Benjamin
Foo Fighters
Chevelle
Rise Against

Older favourites
Metallica (pre-90s) - actually, most 80's "metal"
Jane's Addiction
any "classical" - don't know much about it but it's great to listen to while working

Pick up Sirius or XM and start scanning the channels. I love the Springsteen channel on Sirius, but I also listen to Alt Nation and the Coffeehouse (singer/songwriters and acoustic)

Check out Angels and Airwaves latest, I-Empire. Very good.

The Nadas have a new CD out as well.

How about Dancing Machine?

Seeing that you like Seether and Breaking Benjamin I'd also check out Three Days Grace and Puddle of Mudd as they're similar in style. Foo Fighters and Chevelle kind of stand on their own.

Some things on my iPod that I enjoy listening to (and I won't go into the Christian albums as that seems to be turning into a heated topic in another thread) that you might like would include A Perfect Circle, My Chemical Romance, Velvet Revolver, The White Stripes, and Tool

Try these:

Puddle of Mudd, Nickelback, Nirvana (ok, not so new), System of a Down, Tool

Puddle of Mudd and Nickelback are exactly what is wrong with music today. Absolutely the most horrible crap I have ever heard. Play one song, you've heard them all.

some of my more recent fav's..... Arcade Fire, Muse, the Shins, Rilo Kiley... I'm sure you know, but you can sample snippets of songs from anyone on amazon.com... if you like blues/folk rock, try Iowa's own Greg Brown....

Did you steal my music library?? I'm going to see Rilo Kiley at First Ave. in May!!

LOL! I'm going to see them as well in May here in Denver! Looking forward to it... they're really freaking good... they had a live concert on npr.org earlier this year, so I'm pretty psyched to see them.

In addition, REM is coming to Red Rocks in June, looking forward to that one as well...

Never mind on my "System of a Down" comment then...

Might wanna check out Serj Tankian then as he's the former lead singer of the group and he's put out his own band/album

I've got or heard all those.

Every decade has a few bands with no talent that are very popular (see also: Green Day and the Offspring). It just seems like the current decade has more than its share so far.
