Looking At Texas

It looks like a rainy morning and the forecast seems to indicate it could continue (> 50% chance throughout game time) during the game.

I don't know enough to say who this could favor but it looks like it could be a slick one.

I posted this in another thread as well...

Texas uses three running backs and they have 53, 52 and 51 carries on the season. Breece has more than all three combined. So their backs will have fresh legs and that could hurt. Plus you throw in Ehlinger's ability to run AND throw. I could see Texass racking up a lot of points on Friday.
how many yards do they combine for thouugh?? Texas offense is through Ehlinger and that is it... we shut him down and the game becomes way easy... he has more rushing yards then the RBs...

Austin has become quite the player in the craft distillery boom, and none of it would be possible without those Iowa farmers. Just this year, Tito's vodka, started by a Texas graduate named Bert Beveridge, became America's top-selling distilled spirit. Beveridge got the first legal permit to distill in Texas in 1995, but the competition has grown since. In 2008, there were nine vodka distilleries across the state. Last year, there were 140. Many of those beverages are made from American corn, and nobody in America produces more corn than Iowa, which is projected to produce 2.4 billion bushels in 2020 alone. So here's to you, Iowa State and Texas (and Bert Beveridge). Teamwork makes the dream work.
I'll take keeping the corn in state..

I completely disagee with this statement. Can not believe it was even made. Perpetual weakness.......really? Maybe offensively until this year, but the defensive line has been solid.

I question whether or not you watch this team on a consistent basis. When we have issues against quality competition it almost ALWAYS starts at the LOS. I hope you are watching this (Texas) game as this same scenario (giving guys like Ehlinger all day to throw) has played out time and time again over the last several years (was even worse when Burnham was here).

I have watched or found every highlight I could since CMC became coach. Offensive line is playing well and first year I feel this is true. I question if you understand the defensive philosophy when you use a three man line. Coverage sacks is the key. Three man dline is rarely going to get a sack against a quality oline. Right now ISU is playing solid except the stupid penalty on their field goal which gave them three. Our missed field goal and now the big texas kor. You have to play near perfect against the talent they have.

The 3rd and 1 run with Kene was a killer and absolutely a horrible decision. Either hall or Brock is the guy in there. I was yelling before the play and unfortunately was right.
