YAY ME!
I actually managed to do something computery!

I selected the free trial of PSvue, and we hooked my laptop up to the computer. Working like a charm; I have a diving competition on right now. Thanks to all that offered suggestions!

Also noticed that we get everything we currently get on mediacom (with the exception of WHO 13 - NBC), and for considerably cheaper. May be looking into making this more permanent.
Go ahead, join the rest of us cord cutters! You know you want to.
For reals though, jump in the cord cutting thread if you have any questions.

Used this strategy and it worked! Called DirectV and said I want to cancel my service because it was getting too expensive. Was transferred to someone who was willing to reduce the price on just about everything AND give me the upgraded sports pack which includes LHN. End result: my monthly bill is going down and they added ALL movie channels, so my wife is good with the change.

My big mistake was letting my friends know I'll be able to get the game. Looks like I'm going to be hosting a "bring your own chair" event.

Same here. Started with my parents offering to buy pizza. FIL is coming as well now and I am debating just opening it up to more friends and family.

I’m sure it’s been posted in here somewhere, but is there going to be a link for a stream of the radio broadcast? I'll be covering a swim meet and WBB game for Iowa tomorrow, so I won't be able to watch even if I signed up for Vue just for this game. But I'd love to listen along while I'm on the baseline.

100.3 The Bus on IHeartRadio will have the game.

Audio is always available on CyclonesTV. Phone app works well.

Type in reddit college football streams into google and you can find it. That also works for every other major sport. It is how I watch a lot of bears games.
Do you have to give anything up to get a game? How is the picture typically?
Appreciate it

Those streams can be hit or miss in terms of quality, but there are typically multiple links available. I usually don’t have trouble finding at least one that’s good.

Just signed up for the Vue "Core" plan and it is only 24.99 per month. Next month will be 49.99, but for those of you that want to check it out, now is the time.

I am in Colorado and started a psvue free trial. Pick core package + sports package (sports package has LHN). Don't forget to cancel within 5 days. Although psvue seems legit and I think I might use it going forward. Sling TV is cheaper but they have FS1 and ESPN on separate packages, which is not ideal.

Apparently my $180 bill to DirecTV doesn't include LHN. What is ESPN thinking? Massive mistake. I'm in Omaha, so no chance of local bars ordering it. Guess I'm watching at home in the man cave.

LHN is going to break record for viewership today.
Absolutely. Gameday this morning made it clear that this game is EXCLUSIVELY on LHN. People are bagging on ESPN for this game being on LHN but in their eyes they made a great move.

So I got Playstation Vue with the sports pack. I could watch the LHN on my computer, but for some reason LHN was not showing up on the app. Well I logged in at the WatchESPN app with my Playstation Vue information, and that worked. So in around about way, I can now watch the LHN on my TV.

I didn't reread the entire thread, so this could be redundant, but I just called Legends in Marshalltown and they will have the game tonight.
