I'm in the same boat as some of you. My mom's due date was leap day, she really tried to hold me in but I came 10 days early.

Shoulda just shoved me back in there.

My co-worker and wife are expecting any day now. He hasn't shown up to work yet today. They seem to not want a baby born on leap day because of the hassles of explaining it to the child and potential issues with forms/paperwork but I'm secretly rooting for it as I think it'd be cool.

I had never considered that. For those of you who are leap day babies, are things like that an issue?

I have heard of problems at the DMV such as scheduling a renewal on the 29th when it does not occur in the said year. Definitely best to hold onto your birth certificate ;-)

Update: I found out my co-worker and his wife are at the hospital, so it's up to how long labor lasts whether it will be a leap day baby or not.

If you're born on leap day, can you legally drink / vote / gamble on Feb 28 or do you have to wait til Mar 1?

So in years without a leap day, what day do you celebrate your birthday? Do you always celebrate on a certain day or do you pick and choose either February 28 or March 1st depending on which works better?
