Maybe it is the cops I've ran into or have been around, but they have acted opposite of ****s in many occasions.

I know cops that are very good people and are in it for the right reasons...not all cops are ****s. I get that and I thank god for all of them. But there is not a single profession that is filled with as many arrogant, power hungry, straight up ******** than police officers. Its just the way it is..accept it or not.

Agreed. I know good cops, but there's definitely a high percentage of **** cops out there.
Starting to see a trend in some places where officers are having to wear cameras to record their time on duty. Looking forward to this happening everywhere, it will hold them a lot more accountable (and if they somehow 'lose' their video, their word is held a lot less credible)

Seriously, I don't think it's THAT big of a deal. There really are a lot of **** cops, especially in college towns. From what I read, Ames' cops aren't too good. I know Iowa City's suck. And my parents told me about how cops in Indianola would camp out by the public park right across the street from the Simpson dorms on the weekends, because as soon as a drunk student walked into the park, they were fair game.
College towns give those "repressed-anger" cops the best chance to exact "revenge". It's a turkey shoot for that kind of thing.

Funny how all the hawks swarm this thread. I guess we could learn something from them, being they have a bit of experience in the "athletes in trouble" department.

Heck, the poster right before you did not comment on the subject of the arrest, just the post about applauding assaulting Ames PD members.
Funny how I was agreeing with many of the posters here, that this really isn't a huge deal, and that cops in general (at least in college towns) are ****s. Because it's not, and they are.

No one can convince me that cops arrest you just because. I've been there and seen it all and the guy that gets arrested always deserves it for one reason or another.
who cares. let them play-i'm tired of losing "the right way". as if because we have such a moral standard it makes losing okay or better. **** that noise-i'm tired of losing.
I don't get it. I would have given anything to have had D1 talent. Why do these kids risk all the rewards that talent can give?
