Land O Lakes changing "Racist" packaging

Whenever something like this comes up, I always remember the Mr Show episode where the satanist (and catholic church) are offended by the "playful" image of the devil used for advertising.
That show was amazing....

Irish butter is slightly different as it has about 2% more fat. Most people are hard pressed to tell the difference but maybe your Dad can. Not worth the money, IMO.

Now if he buys Irish steel cut oats, there is a real difference from good ole Quaker. Anybody who has Celiacs will agree.

Big debate in the Badger state is tribes being able to spear fish in different lakes because of spawning fish and lack of size limit.

Meanwhile people outside the tribe kill a female fish in July, which means it will not be able to spawn the next year, and the person with the $100,000 boat with thousands of dollars of other gear apparently can't just go to the grocery store and buy fish.

apparently two guys escaped from prison next county over and are in the area and considered dangerous. Wasn't too concerned til it got posted in our neighborhood chatter that SWAT teams were a couple miles away. Haven't heard anything since so who knows.

Funny that Ames City Council approved to a name change on Squaw Creek in November and still haven't come up with an name yet for it.

As I get older, it's a little sad to see things associated with my childhood disappear. As a kid, I remember a friend that showed how cutting out her knees the same size as the butter she was holding and moving it up, gave us the closest thing we could get to a dirty picture. Kids nowadays don't need imagination they just jump on the internet and find things I could never imagine! o_O

I thought "Hawkeye State" came from the main character in Last of the Mohicans.

Lol that's how grocery store pricing works. If something is $10 for 10, you don't need to buy 10 to get the $1 per price.

It wouldn't surprise me if they did change the name of the county... Waterloo has been trying to identify themselves with Cedar Falls for years in order to look better. Fact is, Cedar Falls "carries" that county and makes it look good.

That's how Hawkeye Pierce in MASH got his name. Some say it was from the Last of the Mohicans, some say it came from Chief Black Hawk and some say it came from 2 guys in Burlington.

I really don't think anyone knows for sure.
 
So, found this in my frig. Going to set in on a shelf next to my Cal Whoever Wheaties guy box for awhile before I toss them both out later this spring.

LOL, no.

You need to check recent headlines about which city is a disaster and which one is being well run right now.

Lets just say one city has a gang riot and a drug murder investigation that they can't seem to handle while destroying their fire department and one that, um, doesn't.
