Yes. Sometimes it's on sale for 2 for $5 which is cheaper than $2.59 for the Market Pantry stuff. However, we've now discovered the Costco 4 pack of butter so we may not buy either anymore. Then do you ever even buy Land O' Lakes?

Wait a minute. Isn't "farmer-owned" racist?View attachment 71236
Apparently this is the new design. Honestly I like it a lot. Seems to me to be a marketing screw up to make it about the previous design instead of the fresh new design. They must be from the thought that all publicity is good publicity. I think they could have made the design change without any controversy.

I don't have strong feelings about this either way, but it does look like a white girl dressed up in a Halloween costume she bought on amazon.I'm not sure how this is racist. They use MR Clean as a bald white guy. Lot's of races are used for packaging. Also, ask a couple of my indian friends last night if they were offended by this and they said no and they are not sure how it's racist. OH well.
I hate to say something serious but the Aunt Jamima logo needed to go.What did you animals do to little Debbie, the Morton salt girl and aunt Jamima?
Gotcha. Misread your post. I hope your told your wife that your mom made do with them and she should do. That surely would of squelched the argument. The butter bricks. Grabbed the cheapest package there and they were all boxed the same. Get home and the wife goes to open it and instead of four sticks, it was the brick that my mom used to buy.

Like Burger King and Impossible Burger?I'm just so sick of companies changing their branding to try to make themselves more appealing to the market and sell more product.

Yeah, exactly. Who do they think they are trying to broaden their market?Like Burger King and Impossible Burger?

How about Mrs. Buttersworth? I have no idea who she is supposed to be except an older housewife it appears.

Let's hope Germans don't become disaffected or every town in Wisconsin will need to change its name.At this rate, half the towns in Wisconsin will have to be re-named.
TBH, if this thread hadn't been posted here I probably wouldn't have even noticed it.good for them but I'm cynical and think it's a way to be in the news for that instead of farmers dumping milk.
Maybe I’m just more naive and ignorant of some of the old racist stereotypes but I guess I just thought it was created by someone’s Aunt Jemima. Like i said I was completely ignorant it was named for a stereotype character so am I just ignorant of these things or would we not be better off kind of just moving on from the awful origins for a brand and going with the more neutral ideas from modern day.I hate to say something serious but the Aunt Jamima logo needed to go.

I just assume that she's Mrs. Doubtfire's sister. How about Mrs. Buttersworth? I have no idea who she is supposed to be except an older housewife it appears.
If The 3 Little Pigs had been named The 3 Little Cows, one of them would have built their home out of butter bricks. The butter bricks. Grabbed the cheapest package there and they were all boxed the same. Get home and the wife goes to open it and instead of four sticks, it was the brick that my mom used to buy.
