With all the marketing around broadcasting in HD I cannot believe a national network can't broadcast every sporting event they air in HD. I've been waiting to see if our game will be in HD all week and now that it isn't pretty much ruins my day. There have several games ABC has televised that I wanted to see but they weren't in HD so I watched something else that was actually in HD.

The Iowa game was on before Versus was carried, and then the K-State game had LPGA golf on instead of the game since they split time on the channel. I don't think Versus has aired a college football game in HD since they went on Directv. Normally golf is on there when the games are on.
I saw the USC game had a "Versus HD" logo in the corner, so I was assuming that was in HD.
At least the LPGA is better than watching Iowa on offense.

I'm just glad that WQAD in Moline's carrying the game - practically the only station in Illinois that is covering the good guys when it's in obvious Big 11 country.
Kinda sucks we don't get ALL the surrounding states like Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois...but I like the fact Texas will see us, and how we somehow took Alaska and Hawaii from the Cal/Wash game.

I have the same problem with charter. But I think I barely make the ISU game in Southern Minnesota (I hope).
Nice to see that the ISU/ Kansas game gets more coverage then a Miami/Va. Tech game, who would have ever thought that.
If you take population into account, it's probably about the same amount of people getting each game. Just a guess. (Actually, the PSU/MSU game might be getting more potential viewers than any of the others?) Still, it's cool that people from Nevada to North Carolina and North Dakota to Texas can see us over the airwaves.

I just can't believe any of Minnesota is still considered Big 10 country....when was the last time the gophers had a tv audience of more than 10 people??? I'm fairly certain ESPN will show our game here...if not, I'm headed to the Alumni Association gamewatch.

Ugggggh! So, of course, I live in the land of the Nittany Morons and I hate all things Big 1ten1. And, of course, the Nittany Morons vs. Sparty game is being broadcast in my region. I've got an email in to the guy who the Alumni Association says handles the gamewatches for Illadelphia. Hopefully he responds and I can be around other Knights of the Whirlybird, otherwise I'm gonna have to find a Hooter's to watch the game. Not that I'm opposed to Hooter's, what's not to love about football and boobies under one roof. It's just that if I have to go there to watch the game alone (again) because of a Big 1ten1 game it's like the terrorists have won.
And, I swear to God, if anyone gives me crap about needing to take the Boo-hoo train to Wah-wah Town, I'm gonna go Chizik on them. Then I'll get a 15 point rep penalty and this whole board's gonna erupt into the biggest (typed) chorus of boos anybody has ever heard (read).
