KState pregame thread

7.5 hours isn't too bad. i figured it would be longer. id be interested to know what their sleep schedule is going to look like. Get black out shades and try to sleep from 3am - 11am type of thing?

On some CF pods they said the staff talked to college/pro teams who have also played in Europe to get advice on travel schedules, sleep preparation, etc. I wonder if they're trying to emulate a normal road trip as much as possible vs turning it into a vacation for the players.
I think what CMC said was that he sought out teams who not only won in Europe, but also won the succeeding week back home, to see what they had done differently.

Not going to remember exactly who that as.

I was wondering why Taylor McGregor hasn't been doing Cubs games this week.
Attended the 1st game of the double header yesterday. I wondered the same thing, out loud, to the person sitting next to me.
It was my wife, who thought it odd that I wondered where Taylor was. :)

I just saw a deal for round trip from MSP to Dublin, for $292!!! Unfortunately, when I checked it out, it had expired. Looks like it was offered in July for August travel. Through Aer Lingus. I hope some on here were able to get that deal, because that is a steal. Im sure it was a promotion because of this game, which is crazy because when I first looked for tickets and packages they were crazy expensive. That is one thing I have never been good at, getting the deals, I have never figured out the best times to book, early, late, etc.

I probably would have definitely taken a long weekend trip there for those kind of rates, if I had seen that deal when it was offered.

I was wondering the same thing. Saw on twitter they were still in ames today and was shocked they weren't already over there. Looks like kstate is leaving today too, wonder if it is an ncaa ruling thing. I wouldve thought they would have traveled there last weekend.

When does a football team ever travel to an away game a week early?

Podcaster said 10,000 fans of each team would be at the game. Said it could be a wet field- but current forecast shows dry conditions.

I think the turf is natural grass. Is that an advantage to ISU?
