Bad kickoffs (including poor kickoff coverage) and missed FGs probably cost us the Louisiana and Okie State games. Hope we can come back in 2nd half, but they sure put us in another hole again today.

Kickers....well not really the REAL DIFFERENT MAKERS are the Offensive Linemen, and the team who has the best Offensive Linemen win every football game ever played....Quoting Lenny Dawson of the KC Chiefs after winning the Super Bowl on a muddy field at Tulane Stadium in NOLA....
Kicking blew it against Oklahoma State, but you can’t blame special teams for falling asleep for the first 40 minutes of the game collectively.
Our kicking game is atrocious. Can't get it to the endzone, can't make a FG over 40 yards.
I have said this 100 times....we have a kicker that puts it out of the endzone each time and a fieldgoal kicker with distance we are 11-0 right now.
To be fair to Conner, he doesn’t do kickoffs.
In a six point game, a field goal is meaningless. Yes it puts us in a position to kick and tie, but that’s meaningless when we throw a hero ball interception on 3rd down.
We need to be scouring the grad transfer market/transfer portal for a kicker. Like yesterday.

Was just coming on to post my contention that we would be 9-1 and playing in CFP if our special teams (kickoff, kick coverage mostly) were average.
And losing the best kicking recruit right before signing day is not ideal going forward.
I hope we grab a kicker from the transfer portal since it’s going to be a record setter for kids looking to move around. Maybe even a 5th year senior kicker.
