Being at a selection show party and being on the sideline of an NCAA tourney game are not alike...at all.

Not at all, the warning signs were there a week or 2 leading up to that. It's been 24 years now so my memory isn't the greatest but I think we lost against a really bad Baylor team right before the tournament.

Very true, you also have to remember in 2022 Tyrese Hunter was doing some backroom deals with Texas and was already on his way out by tournament time.

Texas didn't go after Hunter until after the 1st/2nd rounds in Milwaukee. Texas also played in Milwaukee that year and had a front row seat to watch him.
