Does anybody still call this that? You posting it in here twice is the first time I've heard it muttered in the past decade.
I hear it pretty regularly on national CFB media, especially as it gets closer. I personally don't like it because I've never cared that much about it, but I like using rivalry nicknames wherever I can. It leaves me feeling conflicted about using it.
If we do get Gameday again, Hali is really good friends with Pat McAfee and would be my guess. He hangs with Pat and his show crew a lot and goes on his show all the time.
It's only cursed because the ESPN brainiacts can't think outside the box enough to put us with another team on Game Day other than the Squawkeyes.
Very true. Let's not forget the last time we won at Kinnick with Dekkers (started 3-0) and then............... yeah
Although the trajectory this year looks way better, don't wanna count our chickens before they're hatched.
Saturday was much cleaner than 2022 and showed a bit more of what ISU has potential for.
The 2022 game was one of the clunkiest, ugliest games I've watched and didn't have that kind of feel at all.
Right now looking at the schedule I could see the Utah game being the only one we have gameday for. Of course there not here.
The only other currently ranked vs ranked matchup that weekend is Alabama @ Oklahoma. Which would be my guess would be who they have circled. But both those locations may have already had it by then and Utah/ISU may be a high ranked matchup for the B12 championship at that point. At this point in the season, I would say the Utah/ISU game is the second most important game that Saturday.
I would say both the KU and KSU games could be possible too, but both those Saturdays have some major games on the same day, so my guess is they are lower chances to get it.
