JTS has come a LONG WAY. I'm not too concerned about seating changes at this time. I'm much more concerned with getting Hilton and CY Stephens taken care of at this point in time.
The standards are very reasonable, and if you have ever tried to push a wheelchair very far you would agree its a pain. Most people that are handicapped will be willing to work with the site or vender as long as the vender is willing to work with them. Things like curbs are in pain in the ass for wheelchairs, its not difficult to make them handicapped assessable, it just takes a little planning.
One key difference, the stands at WVU are much closer to the field than at Trice. Really wish ours were setup the same. I think stadiums with the fans right on top of the field create a more intimidating environment and better home field advantage.
There will be no major changes to Hilton or JTS unless a major gift comes forward.

One of our Hawk trolls seems to think men’s basketball has a sugar daddy with an endless supply of money. Surely that must be true and upgrading Hilton is a piece of cake.
We just gonna have somebody post this every couple days in this thread? It's been said multiple times, and I think the vast majority of people agree/understand that. This thread is a wish list, not what people expect to happen anytime soon...
There is nothing stopping them from doing that right now with the current setup of JTS. There are ramps and a elevator if need be. I see many disabled folks enjoying JTS every game. We don't need to spend millions to improve a non issue.

As I understand it, CyTown was originally intended to address the Athletic Department’s bottom line, the general overall budget. and in theory help facilitate some Iowa Stare Center repairs. Simply creating another revenue stream.
Now, it sounds like we’re pivoting to “cover that $22 mill plus NIL” as an initial goal.
My question is, how much revenue at full capacity are we talking about? Projected, of course.
I mean, a very rough guess would be to take the MacFarland Clinic lease and multiply proportionately, but I don’t even know what that looks like.

Taking what residents of Ames think of commercial development and adding a ton of knowledge still doesn’t come close to even average knowledge.

This is true as long as the accessible seats are located in the same pricing area as the other seats. If your first row tickets have a premium cost the venue must provide accessible seats in that same cost area.
During that Target Center renovation the Timberwolves had to start providing courtside accessible seats since they had a premium court side seat available for other patrons.
Also the 1% is just for wheelchair accessible seats. Additionally the revised ADA has requirements for seats with amenities such as moveable arm rests and other ease of access amenities.
I'm not suggesting the ADA is bad in any way, shape or form, just that it is a big cost issue when considering restructuring your seating, since a budget for restructuring needs to include additional money for ADA compliance if you were grandfathered in under previous versions of the ADA.
Rick Sanders has publicly spoken the opposite... He mentioned that the chosen developer is doing it all at once versus the proposed phases, as the demand has been strong and the developer believes strongly in the project!
I would keep those sources close to you for the next coaching search.
