More inspection of the sod in the lower bowl of the west hillside. One guy pulling on sections of sod at 13:30 to 13:34 pm. Then several guys surveying the area from 14:00 to 14:12 pm. Can't post pictures because CF is still glitching, but you can check today's webcam history here:

No updates yet today? Can't believe last night's rain slowed them down that much.
Most of the outdoor work in sight of the camera is done. I think they’re working on the west side—but the webcam doesn’t pan over there.

The next steps for the plaza appear to be filling in the soil—and now they have to move across recently poured concrete to do that.

I’m also waiting for them to do something with the area they rolled yesterday south of the SPC.

We might have to get some pics from the locals to post, for the action out of camera view.

They’ve been briskly working on the west ramp yesterday and this morning. It was rolled at the end of the day, then they brought in more gravel this morning.

Looks like they’re setting forms now.

Still unable to upload a photo, sorry. Sigh.

Heads up for any locals trying to post pictures; later at night or earlier in the morning seem to be the best times to avoid the upload glitches.

Amazing the difference a week makes with the sod. The NE hillside looks like it's been there for years already. Meanwhile the NW hillside is still looking a bit puny.

Maybe someone answered this but why does the new turf have a weird color difference from one side to the other. I was thinking it was maybe just where they were in the field, but then I was thinking they would be more sporadic.

I was wondering that myself, if it was a different strain because the east side of the field is in the shade of the Jake longer in the morning.

Isn't this just the way the grass is laying in those areas? Similar to how it looks when you are mowing and stripe your yard.

Like the how the stripes on the field look if you look at the camera right now. I would add a picture but it won't let me.

If you are talking about the east side looking darker than the west side; that's from how it was installed.

The sod came in rolled up bundles which left the grass flattened in one direction as it was rolled up. When they laid out the sod, they started from the middle, and rolled out sod to each side. As a result the grass blades on the west side are bent away from us and on the east towards us, resulting in differing reflection patterns.

If you look at the photo archive the pattern is slowly fading:
