He also didn’t say he wasn’t going to sign a lifetime contract with Iowa state either.

Oddsmakers, what would be the point spread difference of JJ in vs JJ out? I am guessing 3.5 points?
Travis is a 1st class pot stirrer, and the1 time I had a interaction top rate *sshole. Your results may vary.Travis left out much of what TJ shared. What I’m skeptical of is Travis’ reporting when doesn’t just say ‘TJ says he’s a Cyclone and looks forward to working with President Cook and AD Jamie Pollard in the future.’
That’s the neat part: Tennessee is barely better than ISU at FTs (69.4%).Typically, I repeat, Typically
these Sweet 16 and beyond games are called fairly well and allow the teams to play the game…. to a point.
A tight whistle and 29 FTs for Tenn would be very detrimental.
That is true, but it could neutralize Iowa State’s defensive mojo. That’s the neat part: Tennessee is barely better than ISU at FTs (69.4%).
I think it's pretty likely that we force a ton of turnovers.Tennessee is ranked #202 in turnovers at 11.7 per game.
In the tournament they’re averaging 13 per game (10 against UVA, 16 against Miami-Ohio). Neither of those teams is very good at forcing turnovers.
Turnovers have apparently been a problem in many of their losses:

Why turnovers and missed free throws keep Tennessee basketball from ‘being a contender’
Tennessee basketball time traveled back to the past. The Vols committed 15 turnovers in their 73-69 loss to Missouri, breaking a streak of three consecutive games where they kept themselves out of double figures in the giveaway department. Tennessee made eight of its 14 free throw attempts...utdailybeacon.com
I deserve far more mocking than this for my post. It's over the top. Should have just kept it private
Absolutely agree, that’s the biggest vulnerability. Although on the season Tenn shot almost as poorly from the FT line as we did. That's what scares me though. If the refs have a quick whistle it could be that kind of game. FTs are our worst team metric. Rebounding fouls, fouls called instead of steals, fouls on double teams, etc. That's the easiest way I can see us losing to Tennessee. We are not going to win a free throw contest.
I’m unreasonably optimistic about the Tennessee game. That is true, but it could neutralize Iowa State’s defensive mojo.
Have you read some of the posts on game days???I deserve far more mocking than this for my post. It's over the top. Should have just kept it private
Best case we get Gillespie in foul trouble. Worst case they get Pleta and Buchanan in foul trouble.Absolutely agree, that’s the biggest vulnerability. Although on the season Tenn shot almost as poorly from the FT line as we did.
Coach Otz learned that from Coach Rogers!
Do you have nearly double digit sources to back that up?Travis is a 1st class pot stirrer, and the1 time I had an interaction top rate *sshole. Your results may vary.
Iowa State will win 6 out of 10, or 7 out of 10 games, depending upon various circumstances.I deserve far more mocking than this for my post. It's over the top. Should have just kept it private
they might have extra focus on taking care of the ball with this one. Unlike Kentucky, Tennessee has a good true point guard. They also have taller guys to throw over our trap. . During the season, no teams really get a whole week to work on us, Tennessee will have a lot more time to work on our trapping defense than other teams we have seen. I hope I a wrong, but I don't think our defense is going to win the day, we will need to score with them.I think it's pretty likely that we force a ton of turnovers.
I just keep thinking they've lost 11 times. Play our game and hope the refs stay out of it. Fingers crossed.they might have extra focus on taking care of the ball with this one.
