And you know what was said and it's ok and I'm an idiot because reports are this clown made a racist comment. Even if he didn't make a racist comment he made sometime of inappropriate remark that even Orr himself admits he shouldn't of said which is above and beyond normal heckling from jerks in the stands.

the only person that has said a racial slur was used is Smart, which Orr has refuted. Smart has made a career lately out of lying (flopping) and has shown anger outburst due to frustration in the very recent past (chair kicking). Tell me again why Smart is more credible than the fan?

That comment was in reference to the video that was posted where he makes facial expressions and the arm expression to a player, so bravo on not understanding. So please, quote where I said it is ok to make racist comments.

And I have no idea what was said, neither do you or anyone on social media claiming to know what he said.

it's not a privilege to watch a sporting event when you pay $ to be there. It is a privilege to represent a university through playing a sport. Marcus Smart did not represent his university well.

that being said I think their should be some sort of fan code of conduct where officials and ushers have the right to toss people who are out of control. would that have prevented this incident? I don't know, maybe. I know Marcus Smart using his brain and being mature would have most certainly prevented this incident. He can't handle lubbock, TX. how well do you think Smart will handle road games in NY, NJ, Philly, and other places where fans are far worse once he's in the league?

I don't disagree that any player has to refrain from attacking a fan, hard as that may be in some circumstances, and Smart will have to pay a price. But when something bad enough is said, there is often a reaction without thinking, and that also is understandable (doesn't mean you still don't have to take responsibility). And as far as the privilege thing, we're the one's begging these great athletes to come to our colleges to make money for the school and provide great entertainment for us fans. It's no more a privilege to represent your college in sports than it is to represent your college as a fan, your company in your job, your church, or whatever. We all should represent ourselves well and take responsibility, it shouldn't matter if you're an athlete, fan, or car salesman. Just seems like some expect athletes to be held to a different standard, and it makes no sense to me. Now it would be nice if nobody ever made mistakes or bad decisions that embarrass us or even gets us in some kind of trouble, but that rarely happens for athletes or anybody else.

No matter what the fan said, Smart shouldn't have pushed him. He's an idiot for doing so no matter what.

Just very convenient for smart and OSU that all of a sudden a fan in the first row, who appears to be a donor, whose team won the game, all of a sudden is dropping racial slurs on the opponent. Not saying it couldn't happen, but it does seem very convenient.

The push should mean a suspension for a couple of games, and I think it will. But today's presser will be illustrative, if for no other reason than everyone's focus on Smart's words are going to be toward whether or not he continues to assert a racial epithet was thrown his way.

If he says it again today in no uncertain terms, it probably happened. Because I don't think OSU would even allow it to be hinted at if they thought there was a chance Marcus heard incorrectly. Lawsuit city.

The Orr guy has said he didn't say anything like what has been alluded to, but he also hasn't taken the opportunity to get out in front and say what he actually said--and he is the only one who knows. So he clearly feels like there is risk in this for himself, or he would have said what it was already.

We already know that Smart pushed Orr. Orr dropping an N-bomb is strictly based on people either doing amateur lip reading or repeating what Smart said after he screwed up. Lets make sure he actually did it before we find him guilty.

I guarantee if I heard an ISU fan sitting by me say something racist, the player wouldn't have time to react because I would hit him before the player had a chance.

I think we're all calling BS on that one, tough guy. You're really going to go to jail for assault because someone near you is a moron? That's brilliant. Just tell the guy to shut his mouth and be done with it. If he doesn't, bring it to the attention of an usher. No one needs an arrest record screwing up their life forever to prove how "tough" they are.

So in your opinion it is perfectly ok for a grown adult to curse at, name call, spout racial epitaphs to college kids....because."it happens all the time"?

Ever hear of the "two wrongs don't make a right?" You cannot respond to an idiot by being an idiot and think that your act of idiocy is acceptable while theirs is not because they did it first. If Smart had turned his back to the situation and then reported the conversation to the media afterwards, Texas Tech would likely review the situation and determine if action is warranted and Okie State has the ball down one or two with 6 seconds left to try to tie or win.

Instead he reacted to a jerk by being an even bigger jerk and screwed both himself and his team. As I said, for the purposes of justifying Smart's actions, it does not matter what the guy said because there is ZERO things he could have possibly said that justify what Smart did. The only thing I would think would be justification enough is if Smart saw this fan physically assaulting a member of Smart's family. Other than that, Smart has to shut his mouth, turn around and walk back out on the court.

Sportscenter reported that the Texas Tech TV announcers said they heard Smart and other OSU players saying the guy called him the N word. I tend to believe this because I don't think Smart and the other players that heard it could have "collaberated a made-up story" that quickly.

This. Whatever the fan said, just move along. Beat him by beating his team, or just being above that guy.
Based on the 'superfan's' history, rising above that guy isn't too difficult.
