Jaquan Amos Commits!!!

We didn't offer Jaquan until Jan 29th according to his Twitter so I am guessing the Junior College kid wasn't impacted by this. My guess is when the kid went back to JC for another year we had an opening and offered Jaquan. I think it turned out to be a great trade. Saw one story that he can play some corner as well.
In his twitter feed he says he can play "all 5" DB positions.

That, my friends, is a home run signee.

I remember back at the height of Hoiball the prognosticators would say an addition like this was lower impact than a dozen unproven freshman and it was always INCREDIBLY wrong. Thinking absolute can't miss additions like Kane and Clyburn.

8 career picks. Could be a ball hawking safety for us
We have had some quality safeties the last few years, but none I’d consider the “ball hawking” type.

This will be a welcome addition if he provides this.

One or two years to play?
1 as a grad transfer I would assume. Although last season didn't count for a lot of players. However, he is graded out as a 7th rounder right now. I am guessing he is going to try to be drafted after this year.

Senior, he played 2017-19.

Hasn't redshirted.
Team didn't play in Fall 2020.
Extra ("free") year of eligibility available.

Seems to me like he might have 2 years left.

2017 - True FR
2018 - SO
2019 - JR
2020 - No season (redshirt?)
2021 - JR/COVID?
2022 - SR?

So he should be a "true" senior coming in. This coming season will exhaust his eligibility if he plays

Talk about motivated to play your a$$ off. Big payday coming after this season if he excels. WIN WIN right there folks for us and him. Hope he signs for millions!

He's a 2 to play 1 recruit (based on my understanding of the Covid extra year rules). The best way to think about it is that everyone got a redshirt season last year whether they played or not (nobody lost a redshirt or year of elgibility). He could redshirt next year (if he gets injured for example), but only has one year to play a full season left.
