jamaica vacation

Holy thread revival. I have a question. I know Jamacia is 110V/60Hz but I'm not 100% sure if an adapter is required. Google tells me both the USA and Jamacia use the same two flat pin plug wall outlet. So, initially I didn't think I needed and adapter, but there's something about Jamacia's sockets not polarized so I still need an adapter?

Looking for confirmation on this from anyone who's been there. Thanks in advance.
We are here, in Negril, right now. Nothing special is required.

******* love it here. The people are phenomenal.

I drove to Jamaica once and I don't see what all the fuss is about. No beaches or anything. That Bob Marley is full of **** man. Next time I'm going south about 15 miles to Lake Panorama.

In general they bend over backwards to make sure everything is the same as the US

I like Jamaica. stayed at a sub par all inclusive, but loved the beaches and snorkeling. Also loved eating at Scotchies restaurant.

Have enjoyed several of the Sandals in Jamaica.

We do Sandals and enjoy it. St. Lucia was the top so far for us. Antigua was really nice but not St Lucia level. We will see how Grenada stacks up over Thanksgiving

It’s a shame this thread lasted this long without anyone going there. Well done.

Sandals South Bay is awesome. No adapters needed. If you go to Aruba or Curacao, you'll need adapters. Bring a power strip or two.

Right down the beach from the resort we are at (Couples Negril). I have been going on multiple beach walks every day. RIU looks like a great spot for a family.

Goddamn its been yrs since we have been to Couples. How we used to say suckaaaaas to the Riu crowd chasing kids and now that would be our option

Get your reservation at Butch's. Not a huge sandy beach but still nice. Only a 5 min ride from airport.
