ISU requesting more tickets!!!!!!

Off the subject, but Nebby fans thought the Wiscy fans were much worse than Iowa fans a couple weeks back.
I've heard Wiscy fans are terrible though, supposedly at Wisconsin's stadium they had to put chicken wire about the visiting teams entrance because fans were throwing stuff at them.

Yeah our group had a blast up there, I am pretty sure I tried at least 10 different types of Iowa Whiskey at different tailgates, made for a interesting trek up to the stadium but I made it. Our group is the black sheep of the Tulsa fan base so we felt right at home at Iowa State, as you guys know how to party compared to the elitist a holes we have at Tulsa who are the whine and cheese social crowd.

Also I don't mind when opposing fans talk smack, although I prefer people to at least be clever, the do you know what Tulsa spelled backwards is gets old pretty quick.

No fan base will ever be as bad as UCF, those idiots threw beer and hotdogs at us as we walked through their tailgate, why the hell would you waste beer
.

or a fine weiner.

But the UCF girls.... woah damn.

I been a diehard since 98 and I graduated from there in 2007 so I am stuck.

Replying to tell you that I enjoy your picture of Trailer Park Boys. Glad to see someone else has found the amazingness in that show. That show is a great reason to subscribe to Netflix

Jamie Pollard ‏@IASTATEAD You can purchase bowl tix over the weekend online at http://cyclones.com . We will also be selling them next week. Closing in on 12,000.

------------

If we end up taking somewhere in the neighborhood of 15,000 tickets by game day, that would have to rank up there with some of the top SEC crowds they've had. Sounded like Arkansas bought some 25,000 tickets by gameday in 2010 in their first bowl under Petrino. Also sounded like Mississippi State brought quite the crowd in 2007...Anyways, I can't imagine anybody outside of the Arkansas State and Louisiana Tech fans that could imagine any at-large team selling tickets better to the Liberty bowl than ISU this year!

Anyone know where we are at after the weekend/mon/tue?

Definitely more if we were going to Dallas. There are plenty who are dismayed at playing a repeat. That would not be the case for HOD and the drive is just as easy.

Did 1460 say that they requested more tickets today or was that old news that they were just repeating

A few more figures that I could find:

Peter Yoon ‏@PeterYoonESPN
Fewer than 100 tickets remain from UCLA's 11,000-ticket allotment for the Holiday Bowl.

Bob Condotta ‏@bcondotta
In its first official release of numbers, UW (Washington) says it has distributed "nearly" 4,000 tickets for Las Vegas Bowl. It was allocated 11,000

Andy Bitter ‏@AndyBitterVT
#Hokies AD Jim Weaver says on TTL Virginia Tech has sold just under 3,000 tickets for the Russell Athletic Bowl. Team commitment is 13,500.

bradlocke ‏@bradlocke
Scott Stricklin told me today that MSU (Mississippi State) is closing in on 9,000 tickets sold for the Gator Bowl vs. Northwestern.

and for the hell of it...

Bronco Beat ‏@IDS_BroncoBeat
Toledo has sold 300 tickets for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

It seems like the smaller and less well known schools are doing better ticket sales wise. You'd wonder why some schools aren't picked over others more often.... I wonder if the difference is made up on game day due to the attractiveness of the "big name" schools as well as bigger alumni bases?
