I am sick of you optimistic, half-game winners. Have you been brainwashed by Maccarney???!?!?!? We should have chunked a pass or two up there to try and get a penalty, or if nothing else get Tiller some deep looks for real-game-reps. Lord. Taking a knee SUCKS!!! I am ****** and I am boycotting the second half if they come out and go all fishy passive and try not to lose. Trust me, if we putz around with Jr. high run plays for the third quarter and only have a 7point or less lead at the end of the third quarter, we will lose.

You don't take a chance in your own territory with a RS freshman QB on the road when you are up by 2 and get the ball first in the second half. You just don't do it.

can someone fill me in on "booo Urns"?

Will Herman open up the playbook in the 2nd half? I say yes.

You don't gamble with a first-time starting redshirt freshman on the road.

I love the riverboat gambler stuff, but playing it safe was the right call here.

very pleased with the first half. Nebraska is playing like the Iowa State under Chizik. For 2nd half adjustments, we NEED to get some pressure on the QB. It seems like Lee has all day to stand back there and throw, its just a good thing that he sucks. Our offense needs to get a groove, Tiller just doesn't look that comfortable out there but has managed to be mediocre. Anyone who has called for Tiller to be the starter over Arnaud, what youre seeing today is what you will get out of him the rest of this year if he were to start. As for Mahoney, I know his kick got blocked but we gotta put someone else in there for the PATs and just let him handle the longer field goals. We have 2 other guys on the team that can kick the extra point besides him. (Guyer & Romey)

. Yeah, take an inexperienced qb and put a turnover at risk instead of taking the lead into the locker room.

SUNDAY MORNING HEADLINE: Cyclones shock Huskers at home: streets of Lincoln look like Jonestown.

This simple fact is we have the lead and one more half to play.

As much as I've griped today (and I have I won't hide from it), it feels great to be in this with one more half to go. If there is a way to hold on to this I think CPR may just find it.

Better than being NU right now. Really Ugly game and losing at the half.

We need to score more though, we can't keep banking on these gifts by the Huskers.

I don't think ISU is going to get three more turnovers, but all they need is to break a few more big plays on offense or ST.

Disappointment??? ISU is taking a lead into the locker room at the half in Lincoln, with a good chance to win this game. Iowa State is going toe to toe in the trenches and hopefully they can pull it out.

I guess I disagree that we're "toe-to-toe" in the trenches. We're getting mauled on both sides of the ball if you ask me. We've caught a few breaks and made some pretty huge (and lucky) plays to take a lead into halftime. If we don't play better in the 2nd half we will lose by 10. (wait... 11, since we missed a pat).

I'm optimistic, just saying... that pat would be nice right now.

Can't we all just get along? Go Cyclones
Exactly. We are witnessing something that doesn't come ISU's way very often today. Enjoy it. It's almost like God has come down and decided to help ISU get one today. We don't have AA or Arob; yet, we have a legit chance in the second half because Nebraska is looking like a junior high team, and we're getting every break. That doesn't happen in Lincoln very often. Seriously, I'm still laughing about Paul's fumble and them not recovering that easy fumble at our 29. I think we're excercising all of our demons in one game dating back to MSU basketball. Let's hope we hold on.

I can't even imagine what husker land would be like if we ended up pulling this out. Meltdown wouldn't even be the word.
