This is why the NCAA will never allow someone like Hunter play in another NCAA event ever again... you cannot have your fans wondering if the entire game is fixed.... it will end the sport.
Read complaint against Sauser. He is alleged to have bet on 4 ISU games last season. Also alleged to have used what I presume is a parent‘s name.

That's exactly what the book did. They saw inconsistencies and reported it. They did what they're supposed to do.
No. I’m sorry, I completely disagree. They have safeguards in place for this, it was just completely ignored. Not only that, Dekkers parents knew about this, they could have gotten him help.

How is the book supposed to stop somebody from entering somebody else's SSN? They tried in person registration and it was a disaster that was costing them and the state money.

Just solidifies my thought about Dekkers after last years train wreck. All the physical tools needed to succeed. Not much between the ears.
There's virtually nothing you can do to lock everything down such that only lawful users have access.
Bad for those players, yeah. When you think of Pete Rose, do you think of him tarnishing his legacy, or do you think about the Reds tarnishing theirs? Individual player scandals don't effect the teams, unless coaches or administrators are involved.
Plus every fan base knows their own players gamble, so almost no one is going to care.
