ISU #4 in ESPN FPI

This is probably the best OU team since 2008. Beating them once, let alone twice is going to be difficult
The schedule sets up well enough that we could get to Nov 20 (OU) undefeated, lose, and still get to the CCG. Love that TCU has to come to Ames for Senior Day...

I know ESPN teased this already, but they released the entire top 25 today, so why shouldn't we take a moment to recognize again ISU is FREEKIN #4! Incredible.

sort on SOS.....

6 of the top 10 are B12 teams
All 10 B12 teams in the top 17
Only one B10 team in the top 25 (neb who plays OU and tOSU)
tosu comes in with #53 sos... lower than Tulane (#51) who plays OU, Ole Miss and the American.

Looking at their various odds that I think are interesting: 99.9% at getting 6 wins, or as Campbell puts it “**** teams worry about 6 wins.”
Better odds of making playoffs (40.6) than winning conference (28.8). So we don’t necessarily need to beat OU twice.

1) I hope ISU can handle the hype and expectations (same goes for the fans).
2) I like the early ranking, but seems a bit optimistic... pretty good considering the East coast/ B1G bias.
3) ISU will ABSOLUTELY get everyone's best shot. Hope Campbell has them ready from the git go.
4) The UNI game will be VERY close, as usual.

Very fair...but that might actually help us...if we lose the first reg season...only loss...beat them in title game...boom! :)
Yeah, after looking at the schedule this looks like it could absolutely happen. Never gonna hope for us to lose but a CCG rematch where WE'RE the ones looking for some get-back...it'd be amazing.

guessing all other fan bases are gonna hate ISU at the very start of this year instead of once the CFP rankings come out... which is delicious
I find it amusing that most of the people hating on ISU are also the most vocal about being sick of Bama and Clemson always in the Championship game. They want parity in CFB, but only if it benefits them or the conference they cheer for.
