Is Self Done at KU

I could debate the job security with the investigations going on, but I’m not naive. Even if Kansas and Self were found to be totally guilty of everything, the NCAA would just give them the North Carolina treatment.

Beard would be interesting though. Do you think that would be an actually good fit for Kansas? Gritty defense and hard nose lunch pale players aren’t the first thing I think of with Kansas and their constant roster full of high school all Americans.

He would be a great fit for them, but isn't he a northeastern guy? Would he really want to move to Kansas?

Wright is a philly guy if I remember correctly and he has two rings and is set for life there. He’s not going anywhere

What? This will be entirely Self’s decision. No way he gets fired for performance.

One thing to consider is that NBA coaches don't make as much money as you think they do. When Hoiberg left ISU, one media outlet thought Hornacek might come to ISU because it would mean a pay increase to come here. This is why there isn't as much turnover from college BB coaches to the NBA as there is for college FB coaches to the NFL.

Lunch pale players are in Iowa City.
 
1. Self isn’t going anywhere. 2. Danny Manning? Lol. Dude is 65-93 at Wake and 24-66 in conference play. I will never understand some fans obsession with hiring alums - we saw it here in football. People were legit saying we should hire Seneca Wallace and Sage Rosenfels. Kansas is a top 5 job - they can attract and pay for top 5 talent. They aren’t even sniffing at Danny Manning.

Beard recruits those because that's what you can get to go to Lubbock and coaches recruit the best talent they can get. He would recruit the best talent he can get at Kansas as well.
