Bummed I can't be in Kansas City this week to enjoy the run to another Championship Game.

I was speaking to a family member who lives in KC, they mentioned there is talk on KU sports talk radio that Bill Self might be done at KU. Speculation he might be headed to Chicago Bulls. I expected to see something on the Big12 forum about this. Any legs to this rumor from fans in KC?

Of course one name KU fans bring up as next coach is Hoiberg.

The Bulls talk is just someone making stuff up to get calls. They aren’t firing Boylen after giving him a raise and extension after they just fired Fred and owe him money.

I always think the same thing when people type how smart Fred is in deciding his next move. I don’t think the Bulls shows he makes bad decisions. I think it more shows that Fred is not above doing a cash grab like we all would.

We've been talking about this on the way down to KC, trying to figure out we their next coach would be. Got to wonder if they would give Danny Manning a try.

No.

First of all, I dont think Self is going anywhere. There is no NBA job that gives him more job security than the job he currently has and very few that would pay him as well.

Second, Danny Manning would be very low on KU's list. I would suspect the first call if calls were being made would be to Beard.
