People are disagreeing with this post which is funny because this is not an opinion. This is a fact. 3 of the players that are above Lewis in the rotation are extremely unproven and haven’t had a game as good as Lewis yet in their career. I think they should be above Lewis but it’s not like they are lighting the world on fire either.I’m not saying Lewis should play but at the same time, he has proven more than 2-3 of the guys that do play.
I am a Grill fan and I really like his potential but I think that might be a stretch right now. You need way more out of him if you’re playing him 21 minutes.Grill is our 3rd best guard

I THINK they are better too. I was just defending Lewis though because Grill and Jackson haven’t shown it yet.Grill and Jackson are better than Lewis
This is why Lewis doesn't play. Metric wise he is our lowest rated scholarship player, in the walk-on range:I THINK they are better too. I was just defending Lewis though because Grill and Jackson haven’t shown it yet.

I mean, pretty much everything we say on here is an opinion. I think your opinion is right but it’s not a fact. There’s no guarantee that either one of those guys contributes in the future. We THINK they have the ability to but we have no idea if it’ll actually happen or not.I'm not saying that as an opinion FWIW
I think Lewis is definitely our 10th man. I’m not debating that he’s better than anybody else or that he has to play. I’m just saying that a majority of this roster hasn’t earned the minutes based off their play thus far so I can see why people would wonder why Lewis isn’t getting a chance. This is why Lewis doesn't play. PRPG! = "Points Over Replacement Per Adjusted Game at That Usage." In other words, an overall grading.
Pick another analysis metric if you like, it'll be similar.
The same reason we aren't seeing more of Lewis. He is isn't good enough. Was wondering why we didn't see a little more of Zion today. Just not too sure about our transfer guards. Small and not good shooting is not going to cut much of anything.

Ultimately I think the problem is the same problem it’s always been with some fans and Prohm. There’s just flat out play style differences. Some fans just don’t agree with the vision that Prohm has for the team offensively.
I think it’s incredibly frustrating for people that we’ve gone from an elite offensive team to consistently more of a balanced team.
I know for me specifically I’d rather be elite offensively and poor defensively than good offensively and good defensively. With the first team you may lose some games you shouldn’t but you can win every game. With the later team you are generally going to win and lose the games you should. I feel like that’s where we are at.
I’d like to see Lewis get a shot, but it’s clear that he hasn’t earned it. I don’t think you’ve watched him on the defensive end. When he’s played, he’s lost there - doesn’t seem to have a good sense of how to play D. Then, on the O side, he doesn’t stand out such that he demands time. I think it’s as simple as that.I think Lewis is definitely our 10th man. I’m not debating that he’s better than anybody else or that he has to play. 6.7 points per game is very solid considering the minutes were inconsistent. If he was consistently getting 10-15 minutes per game I think he’d help the team. I’m not saying Terrence is the answer to the teams struggles but I’m just saying there’s probably only 2-3 guys on this entire roster have that proven they deserve 20+ minutes.
Lewis' biggest issues aren't on the offensive side of things and he's not good on offense

My original point was that we have a ton of question marks on this team and nobody has really played well enough to earn all the minutes to the point where Lewis shouldn’t get a chance. I still stand by that original point. So you disagree with your original point now?
I don’t think anybody outside of Haliburton have earned all the minutes they are getting based off their 2019 play so I can see an argument for a guy not playing as much. Based off how some of our guards have played, I can see why some would argue that Jackson and Lewis should get a chance.I'm confused on what you mean by "earned the minutes" when comparing him to players that have performed better?
