What about this guy? Looks like a decent portaler. We probably can't afford him though:

Averaged over 3 blocks a game and just a freshman last year! Look at those blocks against high quality competition in Houston, Gonzaga and Oregon. Man, we could have used that. Got some offensive game, too. We can dream....

I watched him in the tournament. Had a knee injury and it was his first game back. Not sure how long he was out, but he was wearing a big brace and I kind of got the impression that he shouldn't have been playing.

I mostly agree, however 1 of the portal guys will start at center, and one will be his backup. Plus we need an experienced back up point guard. So I believe all will be in the rotation. Imho
Agree on the posts, one like Jackson but better hands, one like Ward that can jump out of the gym.
I think the guard has to be an alpha scorer, if he can play point even better but I can like with the freshmen as Tamin’s backup.

Last year, Dishon commited on March 25th, Heise on April 2nd and Chatfield on April 7th. I suspect there will be a lot happening in the next week.

Jefferson if I remember correctly was a lot later in the process.

That’s a player problem imo. Lack of toughness.

Aside from that TJ ball has emphasized focusing on what you can control and part of that may be blocking out the noise by not even going on social media if it's that bad.

Easier said than done but that's a self discipline piece and this team wasn't great at the self correction piece, i.e. turnovers.

It also seemed like this team was more reactive to calls, other players etc than years' past and maybe there's something to that or it's just coincidence.

There's a clip of Pitino going off on his team at halftime in some game where he's calling them out for not being able to handle adversity.

He's probably bewildered compared to even 30 years ago haha.

I love tough guy comments like this made on an anonymous message board. “I won’t use my name so I don’t get called out for my takes but these 20 year olds need to be tougher when they get hate and threats.”

Goodness. It isn’t toughness. Human nature is that 100 people say positives and 1 says something negative, we focus on that negative. Now take those negative comments and multiply them by 1000 or 10,000. To say you wouldn’t care if you were dragged through the mud publicly simply means it likely hasn't happened to you. It eats at you. Especially when you care deeply about your work.

Now add in false or wrong things, like Gilbert just went through, or vulgar, racist comments or even death threats like many athletes get when things go wrong. It has nothing to do with toughness.

Agree. My hope in the transfer portal is that we snag a little bit taller, little more athletic, little bit more physically imposing Hason Ward type player. Haha. I realize the player I'm describing is probably an NBA player if he's an improvement on Hason Ward in those areas, but man it would have been nice to have a rim protector / shot blocker / rim runner this year against many teams. Imagine Lipsey and Jefferson with a lob option next year. People don't realize that blocked shots also start fast breaks often and can lead to easy buckets; it's more than just a defensive stop but helps the offense a bit for that kind of turnover. What about this guy? Looks like a decent portaler. We probably can't afford him though:

Big schools are going after him with deep pockets.

Maybe I’m the only one, but can we start a new thread with only transfer talk? I don’t want to go through (legitimate as may be) arguments about staff, philosophy, etc.
Start a new thread about something and see l if someone else to talk about. ‍♂️

Only one of the freshman is likely to get playing time next season. T.J. is dead set on having an 8 man rotation. Lipsey, Jefferson, Momcilovic, Heise are half of that. The staff will likely bring in one or two big men and/or one or two guards. That’s at least 7 kids in the rotation which only leaves one freshman for playing time and that’s if they beat out Indusaitis if he is staying. This day and age of college basketball, freshman getting playing time at the high majors is going to be less and less.
You really like to present your opinion as fact. I don’t remember a single player TJ say that didn’t have limitations or wasn’t ready. Matter of opinion I remember TJ playing guys out of necessity that had limitations.
