Refs need to pull their whistles out of their arse in the 2nd half. We are getting mugged down low and no whistles. Also, when did hand checking the point guard all the way up the court become not a foul.
Out scored 8-1 to end the half. Not good.
Baylor went on like 3 mini-runs. They will probably do that at the end of the game.

Brackins finally got good low post position there at the end of the half and D.G. dribbles the ball back out to the top ... get him the ball D.G.
Actually playing pretty well. Only 1 dumb turnover I can remember. Rebounding decent. Showing patience on offense.

Actually, I think he is really bad at hitting the open guy. Colvin is so much better at getting it to the open guy, actually I think DG may be behind Colvin, Brackins, Scotty, and Gilstrap. I see his minutes going down, not up.
I like all DG has done for us, but it is time to concentrate on being a passing/slashing 2.
All-in-all, I think this is the ISU B-ball team I was expecting to see at the beginning of the season.
The offense is running well. Guys are passing the ball, driving to the lane and hitting the shots they should.
I am a bit baffled by our inability to finish on some easy plays like:
The misses point blank bunny by Dendy.
The misses point blank bunny by Ham. (great effort though, he really got up)
The charge in the lane by Buckley.
The charge by Gilstrap when he could have easily passed to Brackins for a demoralizing J.
What's good about most of these plays though is that they were all caused by aggression and I'd rather be the aggressor than watch our guards dribble around for 25 seconds.
I think we CAN win this game. Think of it. If we win, it would be MacD's first win over a top 25 team at ISU and also another road win.

Agreed. I'm convinced part of the reason Brackins doesn't bang down low and work for that more is because even when he gets good positioning DG can't get him the damn ball.
Playing well aside from the couple runs we've let Baylor go on. We consistently allow teams to go on runs and that kills us. Should be up around 5-10 at the half here. Admittedly, Baylor definitely looks uninspired.
agreed, we are getting the bad end of some fouls when we have the ball... either a no call or a charge on big trips down the floor... about 3 in a row when we took that 1 pt lead... come on clones... one great half!
Pretty good first half. I like the way we've played and the mistakes have been kept to a minimum. Gotta toughen up down low, if they aren't calling the fouls you have to just be tougher. I would also like to see Big Ham get a bit more assertive...there are times he gets the ball and is somewhat open down low initially, but hestitates and get swarmed. If you get it on the block, go up with it right away and 9 times out of 10 you well get off a quality shot or get fouled.
