McNeil and Lewis are four stars and have a ton of potential even from looking at mix tapes and stats
Only person that looked really good tonight was Babb, but he had some mistakes because he was pressing to make plays. Young also looked good, but I don't think he has the touch back yet. At this point I feel like theres a lid on the basket for all lay ups and bunny shots. Getting pathetic.
I realize that Monte is pissed but those quotes are just insane. The fans aren't loyal if they critique your play. A lot of those fans bust their ass from 8 to 5 everyday and then spend 6-9 hours of their week driving to Ames to support you. We don't ask for perfection but rather effort and teamwork. His leadership and quotes are a direct reflection on this team. Honestly, the best thing Prohm could do is bench Monte, Naz and Burton against Drake.
I never said that I hope Iowa has a horrible year, I was just predicting it. I've seen most of their games this year, and trust me, tonight was an outlier. They've looked horrible all year.
UNO hasn't been the only team to score a ton on Iowa this year.
Not to mention that we haven't really seen very many go in all year.

Yeah, Prohm sounds as if the players aren't doing anything they are coached to do. Whose fault is that? Prohms.

Really....how much do we pay him a year? This isn't Rec League. You lose, there are consequences. If he can pull this year out, I'm willing to keep an open mind. But based on what I have seen so far, I am very unsure. BTW.... were you one of those folks that tried to shout me down when I said we should fire CPR after the Liberty Bowl?....I thought so.
Agree, although they were playing much more inspired defense than under CFH. This team is not a Hoiball team, but it also is too limited to be anything but that.
I don't want to be overly critical of the seniors, but they need to realize what they are in terms of basketball talent. There is no Kane, Ejim, or Georges to do the heavy lifting. We only win against P5 teams with pace, passing, and effort, and the occasional Burton takeover.

Well, Thomas and Naz are just 3 and D guys so Prohm doesn't have many other options. Before the year, I thought Monte may have maxed out his ability, but it really looks like Matt did as well. Which is good, you want guys to be as good as they can be, but it's kind of disappointing those guys didn't develop into scorers.
No ball movement, nobody that can rebound, and Naz and Holden need to come off the bench.
He should be busting his ass because the people busting their ass 8-5 are paying for his education. And in turn he agreed to represent that institution on and off the basketball court to the best of his ability. Not every shot will drop......we realize that. But being critical when they don't is part of the process. Has been since junior high. He knows it. Everyone know it. If he cannot take the good with the bad........take a walk and give your scholly to someone who can.
