It concerns me to hear Prohm bring up Monte's name second after Burton's when asked who can be the go to guy this year with Niang gone. Monte is NOT much of an offensive threat Prohm. You need to get that through your head. He's a distributor, not a scorer.

I don't think we have a great team but I disagree with the notion that they are NIT at best. If they play to their potential I think they can make the tourney although any sort of run seems out of reach. I agree coaching needs to step up to hang with the guys listed but Texas has not looked very good either.

2 upsets in Hilton plus a couple road wins will make NCAAs unless bubble is really strong. Iowa has gotten in the past two years on like ten game losing streaks and Thursday exits from B1G tourney.

I don't think it's a meltdown, just the reality that there was a huge huge mistake made with the coaching change, and now we are in for several long years before someone new can rebuild this thing. In for a few long winters here.

Recruiting one top 100 HS kid every so often isn't going to cut it. His transfer guys haven't paid off yet will be interesting to see if Kasongo is more McKay or more Holden.
