***Iowa postgame thread***

Keep thinking that way, loser. You are part of the problem, not part of the solution. Cyclone fans are continually asked to ante up more $'s....but they should not demand accountability? Really?

Thanks for making this easy to imagine. No one is saying the staff and players shouldn't be accountable. Some of us are just not going off on everyone they were cheering this morning.

Then stop supporting them. No one is holding a ******* gun to your head.

Pathetic effort offensively and typical lazy Iowa State defense.

Hoiberg Era offense is officially dead. It only took Prohm one year to drive it straight into the ditch. No ball movement whatsoever. Did Prohm think he could take Niang and just drop in Burton?

Agreed. Rely too much on jump shots and everyone standing around. The isolation calls aren't working. Holden needs to sit - Bowie or Young take his place. Start Babb for a game or two, let Naz become the Tyrus McGee spark off the bench.

First meltdown thread of the night. Let the ******** begin.

Get it out of your system. But it's stupid to assess a team's entire season based on a a loss in early December.

3 losses and bad first half in 5 out of 6 games is not a blip on performance it is a trend. Until we have some resemblance of an offense we will struggle to win.

Monte's comments don't give me a very good feeling about how this team is going to do this year.

Let your play, and wins, speak for themselves Monte. Playing poorly and losing, and then continuing to talk smack is not how you go about it. You had your chance to prove it on the court and laid an egg. Give them credit and move on and try to get better.

Iowa is flat out garbage, giving up about 90 a game, and we can't score against them. Just an embarrassment.

Iowa will go on to have a horrible year, mark it down. ISU can be pretty good if they want to, we'll see if they want it or not? Tonight they obviously didn't want it or didn't care. Looked like both.
You hope they will have a horrible year, but I don't think so. I think they finish in the top 4 of the B-10, if for no other reason, the B-10 is really really bad. But also, Iowa is a pretty good team. How the hell they lost toUNO, I'll never know.

Sorely miss Niang. Still waiting for that guy to step up and put the team on his back. I of course expected that to be Monte but it hasn't yet. Burton tries too but tries too hard sometimes.

Monte in his interviews this year....well he seems off. I think he knows the problem, he won't say it though, and he shouldn't.

This is pretty ******* dumb. I assume your implying that prohm is the problem. He's part of it. Not all.

This team really needs coaching and discipline right now but I'm not sure they will get it

Hahaha, what a bunch of whiney ***** negative douches. Who needs Hawk trolls when your 'fans' do the job for you? Do we have a lot to work on? Yes, of course. It sucks to lose to the Hawks, but we have a great core of players, that are going to make some noise in conference, and in March. I do wonder how some of you chicken little types actually sleep at night. I also wonder if some of you actually go without sleep until April to maximize your hand wringing and complaining. We will be fine, despite your worries. Geesh
Proof?

I am not sure where he is wrong. If Freddie was here I wouldn't even worry about these early games where we can't score 60 points. He would figure it out and was smart enough and had enough control to get it done. But that's not the case. Road games are hard with our best teams. Who are they going to beat on the road with no post presence chucking 3's? Who thinks a Steve Prohm coached team is beating any of the coaches in this confernece on the road? KU, WV, and Baylor at automatic losses twice. If you can't win a road game, that's 12 Big 12 losses right there. We are talking about hall of fame quality coaching here...Huggins, Kruger, Dixon, Self, Shaka Smart...we are bringing a knife to a gun fight.
I don't think we have a great team but I disagree with the notion that they are NIT at best. If they play to their potential I think they can make the tourney although any sort of run seems out of reach. I agree coaching needs to step up to hang with the guys listed but Texas has not looked very good either.
