***Iowa postgame thread***

I think we are a better team then what we showed today, but still probably a 9-9 big 12 team and 8-9 seed in tournament unless there are drastic changes and I mean not just running a real offensive set but an actually good offensive set that can beat good defenses. We have had some bad losses in the past in non-con (I.e South Carolina, UNI, etc.), but tomorrow or whenever they practice next they better learn how to prepare for games and some offensive sets down the floor in which ball movement actually happens and we cant just ISO Monte every single time down the floor and hope a mid range one step in front of the three point line goes in, especially when contests, cuz according to this season so far, they go in 34-38 percent of the time.

honestly it all started goin down once hoiberg refused to play edozie. that would be the year after the nian foot incident.

At some point there has to be some accountability. Holden's waste of space, Naz's chucking and turnovers, Burton's sleepiness. Matt's boneheaded play at the end of the Cincy game. Monte's inconsistency, Carter's complete lack of development, Jackson's inability to do the one thing he was brought here to do which is to make three's. Babb's lack of aggressiveness. Young's inability to stop a stiff breeze. Bowie's refusal to get bigger.

I agree. And it sounds like prohm is pissed that they didn't follow the game plan. He's pretty quick to blame himself so if he's mad at the players, I believe him.

How many BB coaches does Jamie get the chance to hire? How many FB coaches does Jamie get the chance to hire? At some point you have to say this guy doesn't have a clue.
Agree, and probably Fred hired himself, and if he hadn't, there wouldn't have been any good yrs of bb

We go 9-9 in the B12, we won't be an 8 or 9 seed, we'll be in a play in game. Our non-conf resume is terrible this year, we might have a triple digit RPI going into B12 play.

9-9 Big 12 record would put ISU around 48 RPI according to liverpi (this was before ISU's game tonight). Bubble Team. Of course the wins could be vs. Kansas or could be ISU holding serve and losing to all the good teams on the road and 1-2 home games.

No ****. TJ isn't the answer.

Is it only ISU fan that thinks that coaching is more important than recruiting in CBB? TJ isn't the answer, the players that he gets are the answer. JFC. We'd have a better roster right now and still be playing Hoiball if TJ were the coach.

hire paul rhoads as an assistant to motivate the team and run up and down the court while playing the air guitar sounds like our best hope ar this point.

48 isn't bubble anymore. 91% of P5 schools with an RPI under 50 have made the tourney since 2007. I'm not even thinking we get to that to have to worry about it though.

Really? Show me the proof. He inherited a sweet 16 team. Now he has made what was a F1 race car into a Yugo. Help me understand how he has not failed so far?

He inherited a team that lost in first round. He should get some credit for last year. Apparently we can't blame fred in part for lack of recruiting. But prohm gets nothing for last year?
