***Iowa postgame thread***

We can relax now. Ranking streak is over, non conference home win streak over, and probably post season play over. JP won't have anything to tweet about. Back to McD years
You mean a 15-15 record. When does football spring training start?

STFU. Iowa is playing a bunch of freshmen who will get better as the year goes on. Stop whining.

Prohm is recruiting better than Franny, I'm not that worried. Iowa plays hard and Jok can shoot, I'll give them that. ISU I believe will still have more talent than Iowa next year. It's the playing hard and smart part that has me worried.

Oh, horse ****. Monte just needs to be Monte. He's an elite floor general. He is not the guy that everyone seems to be telling him he needs to be (the only thing I agree with Calhoun about). He's just not an elite scorer, and that's okay, but if we keep game planning as if he's that guy, we're going to have issues.

This might bring this thread DOWN and I don't have the numbers, and this is nothing on Monte because it looks like everyone's waiting for him to do everything, but the team seemed to move the ball almost better and provide more diversity in scoring vs. Miami when Morris was out.

There are those days when you're reminded you're an ISU fan and this is real life.

How many BB coaches does Jamie get the chance to hire? How many FB coaches does Jamie get the chance to hire? At some point you have to say this guy doesn't have a clue.

Iowa's 7 or however many freshman that played tonight weren't nearly as highly recruited as our 6 seniors...and yet they won handily. That's a cause for concern. Their star freshman didn't even play.

What do you mean? Hoiberg brought back his hand-picked successor that has recruited every good ISU player for the past decade + and Pollard basically kicked him to the curb and went with the Mcdermott gameplan again.
Wow - have you checked on how South Dakota State is doing this year?

Most nervous one has to be Jackson if BBall is not the distraction...

yep my thoery is hoiberg left because ames residents were becoming overly obsessed with him. anyway as kirk ferentz says; "the calvary is not coming". Hoiberg was an excellent coach who hates recruiting and is annoyed at the folkseys in ames iowa. prohm is right ag home with the folkseys but has no idea how to coach in the big time. he will probably do wonderful when he goes to alabama in a few years.

At some point there has to be some accountability. Holden's waste of space, Naz's chucking and turnovers, Burton's sleepiness. Matt's boneheaded play at the end of the Cincy game. Monte's inconsistency, Carter's complete lack of development, Jackson's inability to do the one thing he was brought here to do which is to make three's. Babb's lack of aggressiveness. Young's inability to stop a stiff breeze. Bowie's refusal to get bigger.

Iowa is the better team. They're young and have played some youthful defense, but I'm assuming that will improve a fair amount over the year. Add in Cook and Iowa is set up to be the significantly better team.

Jok (Sr) was the best player on the floor today. Not that impressed with the rest of their talent.

Young and W-Babb look better than hoks underclassmen. Don't know anything about Cook.
