Iowa High School BEDS count 24-25

I
I'm guessing you mean to the East.
I am saying that even though 1 million dollar houses are being in the North or east of the district, its physical bounders are being hurt because most of the houses are being built to the South, which is in the Ankeny district.

South is the lake. I know the area you're talking about. It's more east even though it's slightly south of town. Your point stays the same.

Here is a map of the Ankeny school district borders, as you can see, Polk City is the only part of the district that is in that area, The Ankeny district is to the South and East and pushes to the North.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make? Directly south of Polk City is the North shore and there's not much there. Anything further east isn't Polk City. Your correct most growth is in Ankeny but that isn't really in contention for North Polk enrollment.

not sure if you are being sarcastic or not...lol
I absolutely hate this. If its more than 3 letters, just make a region or a reference to the region.

I would like to see BCLUW versus AGWSR game one night.

I was really hoping Elkhart would be handed over to the Bondurant Farrar School district.
then we could have an actual BFE in the state.
AGWSR and BCLUW are both in the NICL conference so they play each other often. Commonly referred to as “The Alphabet Game”

My point again is that growth is going on in the Ankeny district, they are putting up 5 houses down there than for every one that is being built to the North in the Polk City district. Its really shocking that the Ankeny school district is basically running into the town of Polk City, but it is. With new houses in that numbers means lots of tax dollars going to Ankeny and not Polk City. We are seeing the same thing here in Ames, all the growth is to the North and West, but to the North its in the Gilbert school district. Hell 10 years ago they were a 2A school, and now they are a 3A school and within 10 years they will be moving to 4A if the growth continues.

I was thinking of moving Ankeny other directions, so I have a question that doesn't need a thread. What is exactly Carney, Iowa? Was it ever a real town? Was it ever an address? I can't find any information on the Google. What's the history? There is the Carney Tap, or Carney Marsh, what is exactly Carney?

EDIT: WTF! Trying to find another address, and now one of my favorite breakfast in Des Moines. FUUUUU
Sorriso Grille is permanently closed. If that's wrong, you can suggest an edit.

edit edit: ok, it's kinda be ok, similar from the old.

After the April 30 closure, construction is now underway at what will become It's My Jam Cafe. Work includes a new parking lot, patio repairs and updated kitchen equipment.

The menu will stay largely the same — hot beef on Tuesdays, chicken fried steak on Thursdays, the Carney platter, cinnamon rolls and biscuits.

Carney is the old coal mining community that was south of Ankeny in the late 1800s/early 1900s

I thought of this thread when I saw that! Upon further review it is fairly deceiving. Due to space College Community (Prairie) is depicted in Benton County despite being in Linn, they may have a few students from the Benton side of Walford but to that extent they have students in Johnson county. CPU is in southern Linn and neither Center Point nor Urbana are there.

Benton county has two high schools fully in the county (BC and VS) with CPU serving the NE corner from Center Point.
Also deceiving in that there may be only one high school in the county but there may be multiple school districts. For example Starmont shows up in Fayette County because that is where the high school is but Starmont school district includes parts of Fayette, Clayton, Delaware and Buchanan Counties.

Like Kossuth county. North Iowa is a mile into Winnebago and North Union is 1-3 miles into emmet.

Now thinking about it. Winnebago county has three schools. North Iowa is one mile from Kossuth, lake mills is one mile from worth, forest city is on the border of hancock.

This whole thing is still a mess.

Sounded like Charles City was close to a deal with the North Central Conference. Waverly has made their own bed and they can lay in it as far as I'm concerned.

I actually feel bad for Decorah, they have zero real options. The state should almost let them join the SW Wisconsin Conference that isn't horrible travel wise and has schools about the same size (343-525 BEDS).

Fort Dodge paper reporting that Charles City will go to NCC.

SE graduated 30 kids this year, a lot of these schools are 3 and 4 times as big.
Hence Bishop Garrigan and Eagle Grove fleeing.

BRUTAL travel for Algona to Charles City. Iowa Falls and Hampton sucked bad enough.
