Dude, I hear you. I have been crushing Citrus Surfer all summer so far, and usually have Easy Eddy in my regular rotation throughout the year.

They probably don't care much about my support since I'm in MN but I always pick up some Big Grove when I'm down in Iowa to bring back with me. Guess I should start branching out on West Os other beers. Easy Eddy is a great IPA though

exile may still support NIL, like West O does for us

while Big Grove may be their official beer with trademark branding, like ISU has with Backpocket

marketing strategies for both schools is stupid, imo. have 1 singular beer that supports your NIL. dont confuse common fans and water down market with competing beers

I would support west o a lot more, it's just that they have virtually no distribution to eastern Iowa that I'm aware of, aside from the couple hy vees in dubuque that carry Ames Lager

As a beer lover I like all the options but I can see how it can confuse people that aren't as into it. Once schools start paying players it won't matter as it should all go to the same pot

I didn’t care for the watermelon surfer but the citrus is pretty good. Also really like the Aussie Eddy but have only seen it in the multi packs.

Those two are better than the original citrus surfer and the citrus surfer is a good beer.

I am sure Exile will keep making Swill and supporting their NIL with it. This is more of a branding thing where Big Grove pays EIU to be "the official beer of" and I suppose they get their beer featured in the stadium?

I like a few BG beers, but there are others I generally like a lot more. I probably would still drink an Easy Eddy if that's the only decent option, but otherwise I'll avoid supporting.
