I was at that game as well.
I had that same ticket. Damn those hillsides were cold that day.
I was a paper ticket collector nerd for every D1 football and basketball game and MLB, NFL, NHL and NBA game that I ever attended (which were a lot combined) until paper tickets stopped being a thing. I liked to pull them out and try to remember the event sometimes. I do realize how dorky that is.I miss paper tickets. They were an easy thing to keep after a big game.
I was on the cross bar but fell off and shortly after that the goal post came down. I remember seeing one of the upright hits a girl square in the head.I was at the 92 husker game. Was a FR in college. It was a crappy weather day and honestly, I went to watch Nebraska as much or more than ISU...just because they were a national power with a bunch of future pros. A lot of my friends and dorm mates skipped out. We toughed it out and smuggled booze in. In the end, I won't say I was on the goalpost, but I had 2 hands on it before the crowed movement pulled me down. I do remember that thing getting twisted around and when it snapped and fell, it broke some poor girl's leg.
That… is some unbelievable suckage.I was there for 'the run'.............in line for a funnel cake
I've been annoyed about it for 23 yearsThat… is some unbelievable suckage.
Don’t worry. I was in there and young JM was screaming so loud I may have made a funnel cake in my pants.I've been annoyed about it for 23 years
I worked it. Almost threw gable out but recognized him right when I walked at him.I was at the 1993 NCAAs. Probably have the same ticket stub in an unmarked tote in the basement of my parents’ house.
Gable deserved to be thrown out regardlessI worked it. Almost threw gable out but recognized him right when I walked at him.
I miss them as well. ISU sent out a commemorative ticket for the Jack Trice game against TCU two years ago. It would be interesting to see if there would be a market for them to produce a paper ticket and send to ticket holders for a small price.I miss paper tickets. They were an easy thing to keep after a big game.
