Am I the only one hoping for an outright blizzard for that game? We finally get a home game against Texas in November, possibly with everything on the line. I want it as uncomfortable for them as possible.
I'd like a flurry but I don't want a blizzard. A blizzard could scare some fans away and I want Jack Trice to be absolutely packed.

Meh, at this point I want Nebraska to turn the corner. Iowa has had a stupid easy West schedule and somebody else needs to emerge as an annual contender. I couldn't careless about Nebby at this point, they aren't our problem anymore.

I agree I prefer a B1G West dominated by Wisconsin and Nebby. Much better than having Iowa in the mix.

Also, of note in there, more Nebraska hype. God, I shouldn't care but I know will not be able to prevent myself looking every Saturday praying to god they crap the bed.
How can this piece be given overly serious consideration with Nebbie called to be a champion? Well maybe it can be 50% correct with us living up to the prediction and N not. But, 100% wrong is more likely for us and Nebbie. A+ for effort though and I like this.

Man this season is either going to be glorious or a huge nut kick. Being a Cyclone fan I am going to prepare for the nut kick. That way if it's glorious it will be without me rolling around on the ground holding my junk.

Beautiful thing about living in CO is if things go south, I am just a short drive to a worthy ledge....

I went to one game last season. Kansas State. Yes, I stayed until the end.

I'm going to one game this season. Texas. Please give me late fall Iowa weather. Happily take 48 degrees and clear.

That may be, but I was at the 8 degrees at kickoff and falling Kansas night game and it was apparent that those Kansas players wanted nothing to do with playing that night and Lawrence is not anywhere near as far south as Austin. The 20,000 - or whatever there were - fans there that night were more than enough to intimidate that team that didn't want to be there in the first place. I believe that Tech played on a cold day in Ames recently and it was also apparent that the team just wanted to get the game over with. Nobody has more Texans on their squad than Texas (only 30 of 115 players are from outside Texas) and the majority (22) of the non Texans are from southern states. A cold and nasty day/night can be a big advantage because pretty much the entire team hasn't played in those conditions.

Hear me out here. It's just an option, but what about a glorious season AND you're rolling around on the ground holding your junk?
Just working through the options here.

Was there for the KU game. There was something oddly fun about that game. The KU players literally didn't want to be there, but I think that had as much to do with them having nothing to play for as it did that they weren't used to the cold.

You don't live in Western Iowa, do you?

Welp, guess it's a good thing we stuck around the Big-12 and didn't drop to a lower conference like some of the folks on here were suggesting a few years back when Winning was not yet in our repertoire. Wish I could find those posts but searching on here is a pain the ass.

To be honest, I’m fine with trouncing them on a beautiful Fall day. Why give their fans am excuse?
