Hunter Dekkers TD Throw

Nice throw and catch. Can;t get too excited about a play like that against the worst team in the conference at the end of a blowout game. Kid has confidence, that's for sure. Kind of surprise that Campbell let him throw a couple passes.

He put it in the perfect spot into a strong wind against blanket coverage. The name on the other jersey is irrelevant.

Also with a perfect pocket against a d line that had given up. That's a practice throw under no pressure. Let's make sure we paint the whole picture here.

...in rhythm out in under 3 seconds. Go on.
He definitely knew where he was going with the ball and made a great throw.

Takes Purdy longer to make that decision. My guess is the coaches are giving Purdy a convoluted decision tree during film work. That is slowing him down and throwing off his timing.

You know the Des Moines media is so far up TOE’s colon when KCCI’s Scott Reister made the comment on Dekker’s TD pass that he “Looked like a hawk” with the lefty throw. Just jealous I guess.

Im not used to seeing a left handed qb.

Reminded me of Bobby Douglas, a big left handed QB for the Bears many years ago who could throw the ball through a brick wall.

Yes, I agree with others, it was a great pass and also a great catch, but there was no one in his face and he knew exactly where he was going with that pass the whole time. It was a simple you go deep and I will throw it that way play. Not going to discredit a great throw, but not ready to start the Heisman campaign on two passes either. What I really wish is that the kicker would have kicked that one that got returned out of the endzone so we could have seen a bigger sample of what Hunter can do. Maybe next week ISU can get Baylor down early.
