YoutubeThat's one game last season that I was unable to find / watch. Where did you watch it? Not that I really want to see it now, ha.
I couldn't even find it on cyclonetv.com, then or just now. Weird.

I’ll agree with you for every position except QB. You need that guy to be even keel. Look who wins that game: Sage, Seneca, Meyer. Even keel. Arnaud and Purdy get all amped up and throw 3-4 picks. No thanks.I am hoping Hunter is the type of kid who approaches the Cy-Hawk game with some fervor and urgency. The type of in-state kid that is gonna take a game like this personally, and not just treat it like another game. It has been a long time since we've seen an ISU team have that kind of mentality about this game. What Campbell has done for the overall culture of the program can't be understated, but I'd like him to get the monkey off his back finally this season.
With Hunter, I could see it going either way. Either we do see that passion and excitement about playing in the Cy-Hawk game, or we see him turtle up and just go through the motions until the final buzzer, kind of like last years team did. He grew up a Hawkeye fan, but that seems irrelevant at this point.
You should have looked up stats for these guys. Here are INT numbers for the years those guys started:I’ll agree with you for every position except QB. You need that guy to be even keel. It was. I was at a wedding and wanted to watch a replay of the game and couldn’t find it anywhere. No idea! Haha. Maybe that's why it never came on. I don't know. But you would still think cyclone.tv would have the rights to it a week later, and by now almost a year later?
I remember a post with @cyrocksmypants, shortly after the game. He was trying to find the UNLV game also (I think, I could be wrong). I don't think he ever found it either.
Yeah, that was just a weird 'blank' week in the season.
Purdy’s biggest issue with INT’s was the fact that they usually came in pairs. In 2018 he had two against KSU & WSU. 2019 he had three back to back to back against OSU. 2020 he had 3 against Baylor and 3 in the title game against OU. Last year he had 3 vs. Iowa and 2 vs. Tech. You should have looked up stats for these guys. Here are INT numbers for the years those guys started:
Purdy: 7, 9, 9 8.
Rosenfels: 11, 12
Meyer: 10, 19, 12, 9
Arnaud: 15, 13, 14
Seneca: 9, 18 (Senior year)
Imagine if Purdy was even keeled, he'd have like -5 INTs every year.
Agree. He tended to have that 1-2 games a year were he lost his mind and had a bunch of turnovers. Outside of those he was really good at protecting the ball, and limited turnovers overall.Purdy’s biggest issue with INT’s was the fact that they usually came in pairs. Overall Purdy was rock solid but just like you said there were moments where it felt like his mind would just completely shut off and he’d make SportsCenter’s Not Top 10.Pairs or bunches and they seemed to happen one after another in weird circumstances or prompting a meltdown of sorts that tilts the field for the opponent.
Also just weird decisions like TCU 2020.
In the Cheez It Bowl, Clemson had just scored, and then the 'tip pass' happened where he tried to bat the ball like a volleyball instead of just trying to catch it. 13-3 to 20-3 just like that.
FWIW, the 'Hawk Whisperer' Steele Jantz had 11 INTs in 2011 and he go pulled at some point. I would not put him in the 'even keeled' category, haha.
That's a hell of a stat, really -- Purdy never had a double-digit INT season. Huh.You should have looked up stats for these guys. Here are INT numbers for the years those guys started:

I was watching it on youtube earlier tonight.
Bingo! Got it. Thank you mg30!
I wonder why I wasn't able to find it last year? I'm pretty sure I tried YouTube last year, a week, even 2 weeks after the game, and no joy.
Oh well. Not sure I want to watch in now, but I just might!!
Got it! Thank you!Youtube
Pants, we can finally watch it!!! I tried to find that game for 3 or 4 weeks, every possible place looked. Now here it is!It was. I was at a wedding and wanted to watch a replay of the game and couldn’t find it anywhere.
Didn't have a pair early on against Washington State in the bowl game?Purdy’s biggest issue with INT’s was the fact that they usually came in pairs. And yet segments of our fanbase hate him for some reason. That's a hell of a stat, really -- Purdy never had a double-digit INT season. Huh.
Batting it down was the right decision, just poorly executed. If he catches he's probably tackled for a 5-6 yard loss.Pairs or bunches and they seemed to happen one after another in weird circumstances or prompting a meltdown of sorts that tilts the field for the opponent.

For some reason fans have a very bad memory when it comes to Brock Purdy. They see him as a flashy guy who was just as likely to make a spectacular play as a terrible one. In reality, he was the most consistent, dependable QB we've ever had. If anything that reality describes Seneca, who I also love. That's a hell of a stat, really -- Purdy never had a double-digit INT season. Huh.

Yep that was the WSU game I mentioned. His first throw was a pick and then the next series he threw another one 3 throws later. That one should’ve been a pick-6 but the guy celebrated before reaching the end-zone.Didn't have a pair early on against Washington State in the bowl game?

He was incredibly accurate, put up points, and despite what many fans think, took care of the ball. Somehow I get the feeling the winningest QB and the guy that has every passing record is underappreciated by the fan base and it's a shame.
that is true. I wonder if it is because he had 4 turnovers in two games against our arch-rival as to why so many fans emphasize or remember him as turnover prone?and they point to his mistakes like they are some sort of crazy thing. ANY starting quarterback is going to have a few bad games or a few bad quarters.
