If we made it to the Sweet 16 I would be content with the season, however I would lean more towards only 1 win in the tournament.

Literally coukd make a final 4 run or be in the NIT.

Gut says we make it to the tourney and end up on the 7-10 line, win the first game, and lose a close one in the round of 32.

It would be huge to finish the season strong and get bumped to a 5 or 6 seed.

With the right matchups, they are a legit elite 8 team. With the wrong ones, they could go out game 1. At this point we've still gotta make it.

I'll say we make the tourney and make the round of 32 and quite honestly, I'll be happy with that.

That's where I'm at. Making the tournament was the only goal for me, and winning one would be a plus. I think we'd be a scary match up for anyone, as we have so much potential and can really beat anyone (or lose to anyone).

The right match up being any opponent without a player taller than 6'6"?
We sneak into the dance, frost the tips and exit early, just not enuff focus.

That's the spirit.

I said it a month ago and Im sticking to my guns. We'll be a 7 seed. We will wax the floor with the 10 seed, then give the 2 a run for their money in the second round, but come up a rebound or two short.

This is where I'm at, I would love to make the Sweet 16 but I just don't see it happening. I'll be content with a NCAA win this year

if we have a strong finish to the season and get a 5/6 seed - we're definitely going to get upset in the first rd. we'll be cocky and get off to a slow start and blow it.

if we take a few more lumps and get in as a 10 seed, we'll make the s16.

I dont think we are consistent enough to go on a run here at the end of the season or to make one in the tourney, so I think we make it in but lose in the first rd.

One can be a fanatic and realist simultaneously.

True...but this team's issues aren't because of lack of focus as far as playing hard goes.

I DO think there's some selfishness that gets in the way, so I suppose that could be 'focus'.

Prohm talked post-game Saturday about how percentages are good when the ball is moving and they're not good when it goes to one on one. I was at the game Saturday and it was very clear when Morris or Burton called for unnecessary one on one.

This year, more than maybe any other year, will be all about matchups. I saw Lunardi has a second round matchup with Florida State. That would be a disaster with their frontline. However, I think we could give a team like Villanova or UCLA a good game.

If we can combine 10-12 threes per game, and be matched against teams w/o a offensive post, we could win 2-3 games.
Two big ifs- we'll win the opener.

The tournament is WIDE open this year. We get hot, there is a legit shot of making the Final Four. If I had to predict, I think we are a Sweet 16 team with a real shot of doing more.

Finishing 5-1. Going to the finals of the B12 championship as the 2 seed. Getting a 4 seed and going to the Elite Eight. I'm unsure if we can get beyond that. Depends on the matchups.

Matchups always dictate. With that said, we rely on the three ball which, while it can keep you in any game (see: San Antonio, Texas, 2014; Lawrence, Kansas, 2017), can also lose you any game (see: Louisville, Kentucky, 2015).

On the plus side, we can defend.

Honestly, if we got multiple high-efficiency games in a row from Deonte, Elite Eight wouldn't surprise me. Reality says we bow out in the round of 32 because we'll be an 8/9 seed playing a much taller team.

I think the team has the potential to make a Sweet 16 or possibly even an Elite 8 run, but with our inconsistency I'd be happy with making the Tournament and getting one win.

I'll wait until the brackets are announced before going any further.
