The right match up being any opponent without a player taller than 6'6"?
We sneak into the dance, frost the tips and exit early, just not enuff focus.

Burton will determine how far we go. If he's playing well or playing under control like last night we're really tough to beat

He certainly sets the floor, which is what differentiates tournament teams. With a good Burton our margin for error is so much higher. We don't need everyone else to be on or a great 3P shooting night.

If everyone else is "on" and we shoot well while Burton is playing well alongside last night's Solomon Young? Now that's a dangerous team. Fingers crossed we get that enough in the next 5+ games that we not only make the tournament but avoid that 8/9 game.

TCU will come in very desperate, the schedule for them has serious obsticles. Will be a very good test for us, even in Hilton.

Elite 8. But seriously, if Young continues to improve, that might be realistic. He could hit the typical freshman wall as well and then we would be lucky to get out of round 1. Interior play is the X factor for this team.

I agree. If we can get a draw in the post match up, we'll have the advantage over almost anyone.

All the way to Lincoln Way....whoops wrong sport! It's all going to come down to the match up naturally. If we have to rely on the 3 ball and only the 3 ball I'm guessing early exit. I would love to be proven wrong though.

I has been a little more than a week since this thread was started, and I feel a little more confident about getting to second weekend than when I initially posted and said 2-and-out. I'm about halfway between those two ... if ISU can rise to a 5 seed, I'd feel good about Sweet 16 chances, because it'd mean we continued the recent upturn. 6 seed, maybe 40-60, 7 seed, not quite so confident.

If this team gets to 12-6 in the conference then this season would be a success no matter how the Big 12 tournament or NCAA tournament turns out. (I hold the same view of the 14-15 squad). But I think this team wins a game in KC and wins a game in the NCAA Tournament.

Somewhere on another thread someone posted the 97% chance ISU is in currently...what exactly has to happen to for that 3% chance of not making it to become a reality? I'm fully convinced ISU is in...just weird how they come up with those percentages.
