Hotel recommendations in Vegas?

Yes, I was typing when trying to multi-task. I edited my post. I figured the hard to get/super in demand places will be booked out.

My wife and I are more traditional and would probably stay away from the more trendy/foodie spots. We would be looking for nice meals and understand everything is expensive in Vegas. I try to avoid chains or non-local restaurants when traveling.

If you’re looking for something more traditional you should try Off the Strip. It’s at the Linq hotel. It might be something you’re looking for.

I would do Aria Bellagio or Venetian.

If you want Aria type vibe Vdara is cheaper but doesn't have a casino or restaurants.
I also think Vdara is non smoking which may be a factor for you. And is still super close to Aria, Cosmo, etc.

Anybody have restaurant recommendations for Vegas as first time visitors? My wife and I are heading out for the international builders show.
Stk in the Cosmo for a good steakhouse. Expensive, but worth it.
The Henry, also at the Cosmo, is our go-to for breakfast.

Yardbirds at the Venetian/Palozzo is amazing. Get the peach cobbler for dessert, just make sure you have a friend help you with it.

If you need a great meal for not a lot of money- hit up Tacos Al Gordo across from Resort World. It’s open until 4:00 a.m. most days and the food is incredible…we go there every time we’re in Vegas.

Good suggestion. Is it new? We didn't even know about this when we went out for the UNLV game.

Didn’t mention the Arts District in my guide because that area hosts all the after parties for Life is Beautiful so would’ve been crazy.

Plus the Brewery Row concept wasn’t voted on until May 2021 and not marketed/funded until September 2021 so I didn’t even know about it until my early 2022 visit actually. But I probably would recommend for any normal trip.

I assumed it was new. No way something like that could exist and not be in "2015's Guide to Las Vegas."

Thanks everyone; most helpful. Going to start some booking here in a little while...

Has anyone ever stayed at the Golden Nugget on Fremont?

Opinions on Paris? Not huge gamblers, so would like a nice pool and entertainment. Stayed at the Flamingo last time and looking for a different experience.

I feel like in my multiple trips to Vegas with friends, I've never heard one say "Let's go to Paris."
MGM Grand has nice pool and TopGolf is back there.

I like gambling and eating at Paris. Never really thought about staying there though. It is in a good location. Kind of what I would call “the middle of the middle strip”

Paris is one of my favorite places to stay. Very laid back compared to other places. Nice pool…on the quieter side. Not much for entertainment. Rooms are redone and nice. Basically the opposite of Flamingo.
