Hotel recommendations in Vegas?

I would do Aria Bellagio or Venetian.
If you want Aria type vibe Vdara is cheaper but doesn't have a casino or restaurants.

Do you mean recommendations instead of reservations? That is REALLY difficult - kind of like asking "where in the world should I go on vacation". Vegas is a massive food destination and you can find anything and everything there, especially if you expand from the Strip.
Generally, food is super expensive on the Strip but you can find anything from White Castle to fast casual to celebrity fast casual spots to moderate dining to steakhouses to super fancy to $300 per person tasting menus. What type of food and what is your budget?
I've stayed at a handful.

Flamingo has a great pool and is a great location on the strip...kind of middle of everything.
Venetian, at least when I stayed there a decade ago, was super nice. Room had a sunken living room with a corner couch. Was one of the nicer rooms I've stayed in.
Circa sounds like a blast.
I love Fremont Street actually more than the strip at least one night but have never stayed in that area.

I think Monte Carlo is now an MGM building with Eately attached. Eately isn't a bad place to hang and share some plates.
Probably too late for some of the bigger names like Hell’s Kitchen/Cut by Wolfgang Puck…

I was going to recommend Hugo's Cellar on Fremont. Romantic spot for a couple. Pricey $$$.
Yes, I was typing when trying to multi-task. I edited my post. I figured the hard to get/super in demand places will be booked out.
My wife and I are more traditional and would probably stay away from the more trendy/foodie spots. We would be looking for nice meals and understand everything is expensive in Vegas. I try to avoid chains or non-local restaurants when traveling.
We own a general contracting and remodeling company. So I will be getting the bill but it is a business trip.
I've stayed at the Luxor twice, the Paris, and the MGM.
Won the most money at the Paris (mais oui !), once at the Luxor, but blew it all on a restaurant there, and didn't gamble at all at the MGM, just took a chance on room service.
In my experience, the hotels and casinos are all pretty much the same (and really not too different from Riverside right here in Iowa), although I did see the "Bodies Revealed" exhibit at the Luxor the last time I went to Vegas. Worth the entrance fee, imo.

For steakhouses, pricing is generally all in the same ballpark ($100-$150+/- pp depending on alcohol) although you can get away a little cheaper at Tender at Luxor (which is very good). STK (Cosmo), Gordon Ramsey Steak (Paris), Old Homestead (Caesars), Tom Colicchio has a place at MGM and Mandalay Bay that are solid. I'd highly recommend Bavette's at Park MGM for that old school steakhouse vibe.
For more traditional, Hell's Kitchen (Gordon Ramsey) is solid. Almost every sit down restaurant in Cosmo is very good. If you want something different but feels familiar, China Poblano (Mexican/Chinese fusion) at Cosmo is great. Haven't been since it opened but have heard really good things about Almafi by Bobby Flay at Caesars and I really like Giada's at Cromwell.
Fast casual but good - Secret Pizza (Cosmo), Ramsey Fish & Chips (Linq), Lobster Me (Planet Hollywood) are all good but something you don't typically see in Iowa.
Some under the radar places I like are Black Tap at Venetian (burgers/shakes/beers), Best Friend (Korean/Mexican fusion) at Park MGM, . Otherwise most places will have a sports bar/public house type of place on property. You should be able to trust Yelp reviews because most places will have thousands of reviews.
This is weird but the Milk Bar quick serve place (it’s not milk bar but the same people) at the Cosmopolitan had some just super ******* tasty stuff.

Not the Westgate. Absolutely filthy with timeshare people, and when we were there, the fire alarms (and many of the lights) went off for an hour and a half at midnight on the day before we left.
Lotus of Siam ftw if you are into Thai even slightly. It's one of the best in the US.
